Summary
A new job listing forSanta Monica Studiospecifically notes that applicants should have experience withGod of WarandGod of War Ragnarok, which could suggest it’s working on a new entry in the series.
Even before God of War Ragnarok was officially announced, it was made pretty clear by creative director Cory Barlog that the team was working on more than just Kratos' Norse adventures. Although we’ve yet to see what else Santa Monica Studio is working on (beyond it seeming like it has something to do with space), it does seem like the team has a few active projects.

While it looks like we’re going to have to keep waiting to find out about what Santa Monica Studios has been cooking up for the last few years, it seems that at least one of the games that is being worked on could have something to do with God of War.As reported by Push Squareandoriginally spotted by Geekinout, a new job listing for the team has an interesting detail.
Santa Monica Studios' Job Listing Mentions God Of War
One of thelatest job listings posted for Santa Monica Studios is for a senior combat designer(which will be focused specifically on the new game’s main character). Although most of the listing is pretty standard and just says that an applicant will be helping support hero designs from the concept stage to implementation, the “preferred experience” section is where the theories start coming in.
The job listing says that it’d be preferred (although not required) if candidates are fluent with the combat mechanics, systems, and enemies from 2018’s God of War and God of War Ragnarok. God of War specifically being mentioned like this has caused a lot of fans to suspect that one of the games being worked on at the studio right now is a new God of War.

“Candidates who are fluent with the combat design choices, systems, mechanics, and enemies in God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök (2022) are preferred.”
Does This Job Listing Hint At A New God Of War?
Although we won’t know for sure until the game itself is announced, God of War being mentioned as preferred bit of experience does seem to suggest that applicants will be working on another entry in the series. Considering how big God of War has been for PlayStation in the past two generations, it does seem very likely that it’ll continue at some point, especially since the team is clearly working on more than one project.
To play devil’s advocate, it’s equally possible that it’s simply being mentioned because the unrevealed game will have similar mechanics, or just because it’s the last major release from the studio and having knowledge of it will be considered a bonus for whatever the next project ends up being.

God of War Ragnarok
WHERE TO PLAY
Following on from 2018’s quasi-reboot, God of War Ragnarok continues the journey of Kratos and his son Atreus. This time, they must go up against the pantheon of Norse gods, culminating in a showdown for the ages.
