Summary
There are so many ways to collect physical versions of the characters you love in toy and action figure form, it can be hard for creators to come up with new ideas to set their offerings apart. Numskull managed it by giving us something called Tubbz. Tubbz are collectibles based on pre-existing video game characters, except those characters have been turned into rubber ducks. One of Tubbz’s biggest collections is itsSonicrange, and today, that range got three ducks bigger.
Eight Sonic characters have already been immortalized as Tubbz rubber ducksincluding Amy, Dr. Robotnik, and since it’s the Year of Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog. Stop thinking about Shadow for just a moment though - I know, it’s tough - because the Tubbz spotlight today shifts to the three new additions. Rouge, Espio, and Silver first edition Tubbz have all been revealed, and all of them are available to buy through Tubbz starting now.

Tubbz’s first edition ducks are only available for a limited time and come in nifty little bathtubs. After they’ve sold out, the Tubbz usually return at a later date but come in boxes rather than bathtubs. Amy and Super Sonic’s ducks, for example, are back on the Tubbz storetoday in boxes after their first edition bathtub versions sold out. The first edition Tubbz are also slightly more expensive as Rouge, Espio, and Silver’s ducks are $24.99 each (boxed Tubbz are $19.99).
Rouge, Silver, And Espio Are Now Ducks
TUBBZ Rouge The Bat
Rouge the Bat has joined Sonic’s Tubbz collection. First introduced to Sonic fans in Sonic Adventure 2, the series' resident bat has now been turned into a rubber duck.
While I’m sure there will be arguments made for other characters who should have gotten the Tubbz treatment ahead of this new trio, if any more Sonic characters were going to be turned into rubber ducks, these were the three that made the most sense. Particularly Rouge who has been a part of Sonic games for the longest of the three. Rouge debuted in Sonic Adventure 2 more than 20 years ago and was evenfeatured in a Lego set last year, a Minifigure alongside the Knuckles mech build.

TUBBZ Silver The Hedgehog
Arriving in Sonic’s world from the future in 2006, Silver the Hedgehog has finally been turned into a Tubbz figure. Joining a growing collection of Sonic rubber ducks at the same time as Rouge and Espio.
Silver also makes a lot of sense having been around since 2006, and while Espio is the most surprising of the three, just like Rouge and Silver, he is unmistakably a Sonic character even if more casual fans aren’t familiar with his video game appearances. No Tails, of course, since he’s had his own Tubbz duck for a while, but you can nowadd a new Tails Funko Pop to your collectionafter a flying version of Sonic’s sidekick was released last month.
