Summary
Good Smile caused quite a stir last week by revealing some of the new Nendoroids it has coming our way, concept art for a Zelda figure, and a big beefy Ganondorf Nendoroid that’s further along in production among them. However, the figure that seemed to turn the most heads was Shadow’s. The darker, more complex side of theSonic the Hedgehogcoin has been getting a lot of attention duringwhat fans have dubbed the Year of Shadow, and now you can add a first-ever Nendoroid to the growing list of Shadow merch to hit in 2024.
Well, you can add a Shadow Nendoroid pre-order to the growing list, but it’ll be a while before the figure itself arrives at your door. Even though pre-orders are now openfollowing the first look at the figurea few days ago, it’ll be roughly a year until the figure ships, currently slated to arrive in Q2 2025. The figure has been priced at $50.99 and you can place your pre-order through the link in the box below.

Now that the store page for Shadow’s first Nendoroid is live, more images of the figure have been officially shared, confirming the various parts that come with the figure you may use to switch Shadow’s look. There are two pairs of eyes, one pair facing forward and another looking right, and two mouths, one with Shadow’s mouth closed and another with the hedgehog’s teeth bared. You can also swap Shadow’s left arm for one holding a red Chaos Emerald.
The Year Of Shadow Is Getting An Extension
Shadow The Hedgehog Nendoroid
Shadow is the fourth character from Sonic the Hedgehog to get their own Nendoroid. Shadow’s debut figure comes with interchangeable mouths and eyes, and also a replaceable arm so you can switch the clenched fist with a hand holding a red Chaos Emerald.
Shadow’s Nendoroid gallery shows the new figure next to Sonic’s. Tails and Knuckles also have their own figures which means the Sonic the Hedgehog Nendoroid range is following in the footsteps of the Sonic movies. Tails was the first to join the blue blur, then Knuckles, and now Shadow. Shadow will officially be added to the Sonic cinematic universe later this year inSonic the Hedgehog 3andwill likely be voiced by Keanu Reeves.
The year of Shadow technically began at the end of last year asLego revealed its first Sonic set with a Shadow Minifigure. Since thenSega has announced Sonic x Shadow Generations, a remaster of Sonic Generations with additional Shadow content, andLoungefly is selling a Shadow backpack. Now all we need is that Shadow the Hedgehog (PS2) remake and the Year of Shadow will be well and truly complete.
