Summary
With the release ofRimWorld: Anomaly, an eldritch-like horror-themed expansion for the popular colony builder sim, a horde of new enemies and events have been added to the game. You will be tasked with building your colony and surviving as per usual, but now strange and terrifying creatures will be on the hunt for you.
Once you activate your local void monument, it won’t be too long before these horrific beasts will descend upon you and your pawns. It is in your best interest to learn what these new enemies are quickly, otherwise your colony, and your run, will be over before you know it.

10Ghouls
While upon first sight ghouls might seem like zombies, they are not, and these archotechnic monstrosities can be created by implanting a normal person with an archotech shard through surgery. This will turn them into ghouls permanently, with no way back to becoming human.
Ghouls are powerful melee combatants who no longer feel pain, sleep, or do any work, and all they require is to be fed meat of any kind, and they will be a strong frontline force. Bear in mind, however, that a hungry ghoul might turn on its master, choosing to devour them instead;keep them (and your own colonists) fed at all costs.

9Shamblers
Shamblers are the true zombie equivalent, being reanimated corpses that will roam the countryside looking for humans to snack on. These mindless creatures do not feel pain or need sleep like their ghoul counterparts but are not controllable in the traditional sense.
A shambler horde can be a dangerous thing for your colony to face, especially when they arrive in large numbers. Since they feel no pain, the only way to truly stop a shambler is to kill it or incapacitate it outright. Aim for the head.

8Sightstealers
These twisted, human-like monsters can pose one of the biggest early-game threats to your colony unless you are prepared. A sightstealer can turn itself invisible, allowing it to sneak into your camp undetected and start hunting your pawns without warning.
Once a sightstealer has been revealed, they are not too hard to defeat as they are rather fragile. The hard part is finding them before they’re on top of you, and proximity detectors and constant vigilance will be your best friends once you hear their screeches in the night.

7Fleshbeasts
Fleshbeasts are just that: fleshy monsters with one or more spiked tentacles that will attack you relentlessly once they emerge from their pits in the ground. There are a few different varieties of fleshbeast, but they are all deadly and should be treated with caution.
Fingerspikes are small and fast while Toughspikes are armored and can shoot bone-like spikes at targets from a distance. Meanwhile, trispikes are capable of splitting into smaller fleshbeasts when fought, possibly overwhelming you with sheer numbers if you aren’t careful.

6Gorehulks
These squishy, spiky humanoid creatures can be devastating in combat. They use the spikes that grow all over their body to attack all targets they see from a distance, firing them off at high speeds.
Your best bet at countering a gorehulk is actually counterintuitive: you want to get close and personal with them. While they are incredibly dangerous to fight at range, their bulbous bodies don’t fare too well in melee combat. Maybe the ghoul army you’ve been building will be effective here.

5Devourers
Devourers are quite terrifying to look at; these worms have giant gaping maws that are large enough to swallow colonists whole and are capable of leaping great distances to do just that. Once they have caught their next meal, they will digest them live in their corrosive stomach acid.
You will have about 30 seconds to slay the devourer before they finish the digestion process, making fighting them a race against the clock. If you don’t manage to kill them fast enough, they’re kind enough to then regurgitate what’s left of your poor pawn, at best with missing body parts and severe burns.

4Metalhorrors
If you’ve ever had the fear of being infected with a parasite so sinister that it will slowly take over your mind before bursting from your body when it’s done growing, then you’ll learn to fear the metalhorror.
These metallic menaces will implant themselves inside an unwilling host and begin making them do things that will further propagate its species. A metalhorror infestation can be very dangerous as you’ll soon be suspecting everyone around you trying to find “the imposter” doing anything that seems strange.

3Revenants
These tall, ghastly-looking monsters are not only creepy and horrifying to look at, but they make use of very sinister abilities to ruin your day. A revenant will cloak themselves to the point of invisibility and slowly stalk your colonists before striking.
Once a revenant has found an unsuspecting victim, it will begin to hypnotize the poor soul; this hypnosis will fill the victim’s mind with dark horrors and imagery, rendering them completely immobile and useless permanently, so long as the revenant remains alive. It will then saunter off to a hiding place, forcing you to find it and hunt it down before it comes back again.

2Nociospheres
These dark orbs only serve one purpose: to cause as much pain as possible. When a nociosphere appears, they begin emitting a dark energy that causes an intense feeling of pain in anyone who happens to get too close to the entity.
You can capture the nociosphere or destroy it, though the latter option will cause it to violently defend itself;capturing it will yield you advanced void knowledge and other goods, but you will need to ensure to manage its pain field carefully. Not only is it, well, painful, but if its activity maxes out, it will immediately go on a rampage and become hostile.
1Fleshmass Heart
One of the most dangerous entities added in Anomaly, the fleshmass heart is a giant pulsating fleshbeast factory that will rapidly expand fleshy tendrils all over the map once it spawns. It is invulnerable, and can only be destroyed after researching neural lumps you can collect from its body mass.
It will regularly spawn all manner of fleshbeasts to attack you and will also spawn fleshmass spitters, towers that will shoot acid at you if you draw too close. They can be a nightmare to finally take out, so prepare your best defenses and weapons, and you will need to hit it with everything you have.
