Donald Duck, Buccaneer is a card whose value depends on timing and fortuitous circumstances. He grants your other characters in play an extra lore when he banishes a character.
You can quickly turn the tide of battle by pairing Donald Duck with other lore building abilities, such as Mirabel Madrigal, Prophecy Finder and a character with an organically high lore value, like John Silver, Terror of the Realm. This synergy maximizes your lore gain, making Donald Duck, Buccaneer a strong component in a strategy focused on rapid lore accumulation.

11Mickey Mouse, Musketeer Captain
Ursula’s Return introduced five new Musketeer characters, including Mickey Mouse, Musketeer Captain. Just like the original cartoon and classic novel, the Musketeers thrive on teamwork.
Mickey Mouse, Musketeer Captain is a Bodyguard that, upon shifting, lets you draw a card for every Bodyguard in play. Considering that 11 of the 12 Musketeer cards in Disney Lorcana are Bodyguards, this card has the potential to drastically increase your hand, improving your options and versatility moving forward.

10Cinderella, Melody Weaver
Cinderella, Melody Weaver is a strong support card. With her ability to drastically reduce Song costs, she frees up your inkwell for other actions. The best strategy for Cinderella is to incorporate her into a Princess and Song-heavy deck. Not only does she maximize the use of Songs, but she’s also an excellent support card for Princesses.
Whenever she sings a Song, each Princess can quest for one extra lore. This is especially effective when coupled with Ariel, Treasure Collector. Ariel already quests for three lore, but if you have more items in play than your opponent, she gains two more lore. Including Cinderella’s contribution, Ariel can quest for a whopping six lore per turn.

9Piglet, Sturdy Swordsman
Piglet, Sturdy Swordsman is a versatile card that can quickly pivot to meet the evolving needs of the game. First, Piglet can quest for three lore, which pairs nicely with cards like Donald Duck, Buccaneer, to gain a lot of lore after turn five.
A lot of winning strategiesin Disney Lorcana use card combinations. It is not unusual to have an empty hand after deploying such a series of cards. In that case, Piglet can be your final play, allowing you to challenge ready characters. If you manage to banish said character, you can throw off your opponent’s strategy for upcoming turns.

8Hades, Double Dealer
Shifting is a powerful tacticto increase the strength of your characters while still budgeting your inkwell. Hades, Double Dealer takes this concept to a whole new level. You can exert Hades to banish one of your characters and replace them with another character of the same name. This strategy frees up your inkwell while quickly summoning more powerful characters to the field.
7Yen Sid, Powerful Sorcerer
Yen Sid, Powerful Sorcerer is a card that can become a lore-generating powerhouse! You draw a card when Yen Sid is put into play with an active Broom card. This is a strong ability to have at the cost of two inks, especially when compared to cards like Maleficient, Sorceress.
There are nine different Magic Broom cards in Disney Lorcana. You have the potential to include 36 Magic Broom cards in your deck to power Yen Sid.

If you have two or more active Broom cards, Yen Sid quests for three lore instead of one. When paired with a bounce card like Madam Mim, Snake or Fox, you create a lore generating-card drawing cycle as you bounce Yen Sid back into your hand. Fully optimizing Yen Sid requires strategic deck creation and good timing.
6Mulan, Elite Archer
Mulan, Elite Archer is a powerful late-game card that is perfect for dealing with an onslaught of characters. The first strategy is to prime your deck to shift from a low-cost Mulan card. Not only does that budget your inkwell, but it buffs Mulan’s strength, inflicting major damage on an enemy. Furthermore, every time she attacks, Mulan can damage an additional two characters.
Her simultaneous attacks let her target card combinations, like Yen Sid and his Broom cards. If you have multiple Mulan cards in your deck, you can bounce her back into your hand to reuse her strength bonus.
5Triton, Champion of Atlantica
Triton, Champion of Atlantica is a heavy hitting card. While he has a high ink cost, he can also inflict a lot of damage, has high willpower, and can quest for three lore. A finishing card, he’s designed to wipe the field and end the game.
Triton is most effective in decks that feature a high count of locations. He cuts his opponents' offensive abilities for every location you have in play.
4The Queen, Diviner
The Queen, Diviner’s ability allows you to pivot your strategy by quickly playing items for free, thus releasing your inkwell to summon other cards. She can be exerted to play an item card from the first four cards of your deck, provided the item costs three ink or less.
Coupled with the correct cards, this ability can quickly increase the value of The Queen’s three ink investment. For example, cards like Pawpsicle and Hidden Inkcaster allow you to draw more cards that turn. If you’re facing a Song-heavy deck, Signed Contracts will turn the table by increasing your hand. If you have Miracle Candle available, you can leverage lore and healing.
3Diablo, Devoted Herald
Diablo, Devoted Herald allows you to discard an action card from your hand to shift Diablo to the field. Doing so budgets your inkwell for additional, strong plays as you draw a card whenever Diablo is exerted.
By freeing up your inkwell and increasing your hand, Diablo’s abilities make him a valuable card in Song decks. Since Diablo is evasive, the number of characters that can challenge him are limited. Left unchecked, he can quickly boost the number of cards in your hand, improving your probability of drawing winning card combinations.
