WhileDiablo 4’sseason four is heavily focused on improving its itemization, some features discreetly improve your way to level up in the game. It has never been this easy to reach level 100, and they added more ways to help you reach it quicker.
This guide will tackle all the different forms of content you may run and teach you the best way to level up. Most of them are viable, but it is also important that you have full control over what content you want to run before reaching the maximum level because that’s what makes the game fun.

How To Level Up
In Diablo 4, anything that involveseliminating enemies will grant experience pointsor XP. However, there are XP bonuses for specific types of content, which willput some content above others. Here are some of the most common ways of leveling up:
If you haven’t finished the campaign, you should complete the campaign first. Once you have finished the campaign, you can skip the campaign when you make a new character and go for the best leveling strategies later in the guide.

Most of these aren’t exactly the best way to level up, but they are still relevant depending on what content you want to play.
Apply XP Boosts
Before getting started with the strategy, you should know aboutall the experience boosts. If you capitalize on getting all the experience boosts active at the same time, you canreach the maximum level in under ten hours.
The earliest form of experience boost will come from aparty or group bonus. If youplay with at least one other player in a party, you’ll get an experience bonusas long as you are finishing content with the other player. If you are with other players but not in a party, you still get the bonus experience points, but it is halved.

Playing with a friend alsohelps you clear content faster, especially those annoying dungeons where you have to double back to finish objectives before getting to the final dungeon boss.
Apart from party exp bonuses, you should also look into Elixirs. Elixirs are available early in the game, whether through crafting or if you just pick them up while eliminating enemies. Elixirs giveupwards of five percent bonus experience points for 30 minutes.

Some Elixirs give around eight percent, but these are found much later in the game. These bonuses also give yousome combat buffs, which also boost your clear speed when finishing content.
The best Elixir for leveling is the Elixir of Momentumas it gives you more movement speed to clear enemies faster.
The last and most important experience bonus is theseason bonus. If you open up your battle pass page or menu, you’ll see some deactivated bonuses. You’ll need someSmoldering Ashesto apply the upgrades, so you would need to get Smoldering Ashes first by progressing throughseason four’s Loot Reborn battle pass.
Once you have the Smoldering Ashes, which you should have around level 28, you canapply it to the experience bonusuntil you have maxed it out.
Best Way To Level Up Fast
As mentioned earlier, thebest way to level up is either through nightmare dungeons or Helltides. Let’s go through all the factors and find out which method is the best for the player, because they both have their pros and cons.
Helltides
Helltides is the most efficient way of leveling if you skip the campaign. you’re able to get tolevel 60 or tier three to four difficulty in under three hours. The leveling strategy is done by going to theBaneful Altars in the current Helltide regionand using three Baneful Hearts to activate the event.
The eventspawns hundreds of enemies, including amaiden boss that drops amazing gear. Once someone turns in three Baneful Hearts, everyone in the Helltide region will be notified that the event has started. Everyone will gather around and try to clear all the enemies as fast as possible.
However, this only works if you have Baneful Hearts, so you want to farm them first. You get Baneful Hearts randomly in the Helltide region through the commanders or the chests.Eliminate enemies to get Aberrant Cindersand use the Cinders to open the chests.
Farm enough Baneful Heart and capitalize on the events.
Since most of the players will eventually go to the event once activated, you have moreplayers that could have Baneful Hearts themselves to activate the event again. This is a community event, soplayers are encouraged to work together.
Nightmare Dungeons
Helltides will always be better than regular dungeons, but once you reachnightmare dungeons, they can be faster. Since Helltides relies on the community to continuously keep the event up and running, nightmare dungeons depend onwhat tier you can finish and how fast you can finish it.
you’re able to have a fast and consistent exp farm by running your Sigils. They give higher experience points compared to Helltides if youmake sure you meet these requirements:
These requirements are hard to achieve, but if you have a strong build, you should consistently do it with ease.
Which Is Better: Helltides Or Nightmare Dungeons?
Both are extremely good, but they both havedifferent rewardsif you take experience points out of the equation.
Helltides give you more gearand, in an ideal scenario, it also gives more experience points (if there is an 80 to 90 percent uptime on the event). You also getHelltide-exclusive materials, which means you are forced to do it even if you ever need those materials for crafting.
For nightmare dungeons, it gives you Glyph experience points. That alone forces you to run nightmare dungeons tostrengthen your character’s Glyphs in the Paragon Board.
You also have the option to craft extremely difficult nightmare dungeons. For example, if you are level 70, you can craft tier 40 to 50 Sigils which spawn 90 and above monsters.
If you can beat these monsters, you are practicallyguaranteed 925 item power gear. Eventually, you’ll switch from Helltides to nightmare dungeons because of this.
But if you are around level 90, and you have aProfane Mindcage consumable(increases Helltide monster level by ten for one hour), you can get the same item power gear through Helltides as well.
It all depends on what content you prefer or how strong and fast your build is. In Helltides, youeliminate monsters every second, but in nightmare dungeons, you havesome downtime going from pack to packbecause monsters aren’t as dense. Play to your strengths!
