Summary

The next Funko Pop onPokemon’s list was revealed this week asthe first images of an Arceus figurefound their way online, a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive arriving at the end of July. Turns out Arceus isn’t the only Comic-Con exclusive Pokemon Pop coming our way this year. Shortly after the Arceus images were revealed, similar pictures of a Dialga figure were revealed by the same person, and the Pop is believed to be a New York Comic-Con exclusive.

The images of the Dialga Pop have beenshared by MomokaRage(thanks again, Funko Pop News), the same person who provided a first look at the Arceus Pop. Its design highlights just how similar Arceus and Dialga are. Both are futuristic-looking quadrupeds and both are on all fours for their Funko Pop designs even though a lot of the images you’ll find of both have the Pokemon up on their hind legs.

If the theory that Diagla’s figure will be a New York Comic-Con exclusive is correct, then the wait to pick one up will be a long one. While Arceus’s figure will be available at some point during SDCC, which kicks off on July 25, the New York equivalent doesn’t take place until October. Somewhat surprising that the first images of the Pop are already doing the rounds if the wait for it to go on sale is that long, although it makes sense that both Dialga and Arceus would be gifted together to whoever has been lucky enough to get them early.

First Look At Pokemon’s Upcoming Dialga Funko Pop

As for getting a Dialga of your own, unless you’re going to be at NYCC, it might be tricky. Much likethe C2E2 exclusive Cresselia figurereleased earlier this year, it’s likely Dialga’s Pop will be available to buy online for a very limited time. If so, it will sell out fast, and after that you’ll need to spend big to get your hands on one.The Cresselia Pop is $72 right now on Amazon, and that’s down from the $100 it usually retails for.

If you don’t want to pay through the nose for a Pokemon Pop or stress about making it to a Comic-Con to get one, a lot of other options have already been released this year. The hugely popular Kanto Starter Deluxe Popis on sale again at Amazon, and it was recently revealed thatPichu will be Pokemon’s next Pealescent Funko Pop. It’s been confirmed that Pokemon’s Pearlescent collection will have doubled in size by the of 2024 with four more shiny figures still to be revealed throughout the year.
