According to Centro, we can at least rule outearly2025, narrowing that window down a bit more. Interestingly, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa suggested thatthe Switch 2 won’t launch before April 2025, so we might even be playing Legends: Z-A on the new console as well.

Fans have also beenrecreating Pokemon Fire Red in Terrariawithout using any mods, lovingly bringing the Kanto region to an entirely different game.

The biggest Pokemon game we can expect in the meantime isTCG Pocket, which is still on trackto release sometime this year. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a digital version of the hit trading card game where you collect and open packs to compete against other players.

You won’t need a fancy new Switch 2 to play it as TCG Pocket will be available on iOS and Android.
