Summary

It’s a pretty odd time to be anXboxfan right now, uncertain about your platform’s future due toMicrosoft’swillingness tostick its best exclusives on rival platforms. However, it appears to be a strategy that is actually paying off, as the company currently has more Xbox games on thePlayStation Storethan PlayStation itself.

First noticed by gaming news outletTweakTown, there are several Xbox published titles currently sitting comfortably on the list of PlayStation’s top 25 best-selling games so far this month, with the likes ofGroundedandSea of Thievesproving to be fairly popular titles on the platform, despite the latter still awaiting launch.

Eve from Stellar Blade

Call of Duty,Overwatch 2, andMinecraftare also in there, two ever-popular titles that are now Xbox titles thanks to Microsoft’s acquisition ofActivision Blizzard, while the resurgence of theFalloutseries thanks to the recently released TV show has sent bothFallout 4and76onto the top sellers list now too. We knew from the game’s Steam numbers thatplayers were flocking back to the titles, and it seems the same is true for consoles.

PlayStation’s Offerings This Year Have Been Pretty Slim

That’s seven titles on PlayStation’s best sellers list for Xbox, while the platform holder itself has only managed to get five on there.Helldivers 2has been an unexpected hit for PlayStation this year, and is unsurprisingly sitting high on the list, while exclusive titles such asStellar Bladeand the recently releasedRise of the Roninhave just about squeaked on.

MLB The Show 24andDestiny 2are the two remaining PlayStation published titles, which really show you how much of a barren spell the platform is undergoing at the moment. Of course, this is nothing to actually be concerned about if you’re a PlayStation fan, as Xbox wouldn’t even have the advantage if the Fallout TV show hadn’t been released recently, but the platform will be hoping that the upcoming launch of Stellar Blade holds fans over.
