Summary
Last week’sPlayStationState Of Play generated a mixed response from gamers, especially after it opened with a lengthy look atConcordwhichits YouTube like ratiosuggests most people aren’t that into. What saved the State Of Play for a lot of people wasthe Astro Bot reveal that closed the show. The first full-length, non-VR game PlayStation has ever made for its modern day mascot, and since so many people love the little guy, it has capitalized on theAstro Botreveal by releasing new merch dedicated to the little guy.
Since the majority of official merch at the PlayStation Storeis 20 percent off for Days of Play, there’s a strong chance many of you raced there the second the Astro Bot trailer ended to celebrate his return. If you did, you’d have been met with nothing more thanan Astro notebook. That has since changed as PlayStation has Astro Bot t-shirts, a water bottle, and some adventure stickers.

Even though items in the new Astro Bot collection are pre-order only (releasing on June 17), they appear to have been included in the Days of Play sale. All you need to so its enter the code DAYSOFPLAY24 at checkout for 20 percent off.
The first of the t-shirts is my favorite, white with Astro Bot written on the chest, but it’s the design on the back that makes it special. Astro sitting down in front of a big old school TV, playing on aPS1. A console that had its heyday long before any of us had ever met Astro. The other t-shirt is light blue, Astro Bot printed on the sleeve instead of the chest, and a bigger version of the protagonist on the front but running around the side of the t-shirt, giving anyone looking at you a wink as he does it.
What Do You Think Astro Bot Is Playing On That PS1?
Astro Bot White T-Shirt
PlayStation’s white Astro Bot t-shirt features the name of the game printed in black on the chest, and Astro himself sitting on the back, playing a PS1 on a very old school TV.
If you don’t want an Astro Bot t-shirt, or you’re like me and t-shirts alone aren’t enough, there’s alsoa copper-insulated water bottlethat features a neon version of the little hero I hope we meet for real when Astro Bot launches later this year. There’s also a sticker set- by far the cheapest item in the new collection for anyone not looking to spend too much to demonstrate their Astro love - which includes stickers sporting the game’s logo, a dancing Astro, and two enemies from his PlayStation-themed world.
While there are exceptions -The Last Of Us anniversary OST, for example - almost everything on PlayStation’s merch store is 20 percent off when you enter DAYSOFPLAY24 at checkout. The sale runs until June 12 and it extends to more than just t-shirts and water bottles. VariousPS5games are also on sale, and you can even get the PS VR2 for $100 less than usual, just in time forits PC compatibility coming on August 7.
