Becoming best friends with a villager inDisney Dreamlight Valleyis no small feat, and the effort is well-rewarded with new quests and unique items that can only be obtained from specific villagers. Every character has a unique personality and gifts that reflect that. Whether it’s motifs, clothing, or furniture, there are plenty of ways to express your love for your favorite characters.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is quite different from the rest of the villagers, but he’s just as eager to make his mark. Becoming his best friends leads to some chaotic quests and colorful rewards, despite his black and white nature.
How To Unlock The Erratic Transportation Friendship Quest
To unlock this quest, you mustreach level ten friendshipwithOswald the Lucky Rabbit. This is no small feat, and it requires plenty of attention and dedication to max out.
Once you do become his best friend, however, there are plenty of rewards.Speak to Oswaldto start the quest and begin the journey to bring a trolley to the village.
Where To Find The Vintage Trolley Conductor Hat
The first thing you’ll need is the proper attire, which means you need tofind the Vintage Trolley Conductor Hat. Unfortunately, this hat was lost ages ago. Your Royal Hourglass can be used to find it again! It should be around Ancient’s Landing.
We found it overby the Ancient Ruinsnear EVE’s House.
When you find the Vintage Trolley Conductor Hat,bring it to Oswald. He’ll take a look andask you to wear itbefore going any further with the quest.
How To Build The Trolley And Tracks
The next step is togather all the materialsto build the trolley and the tracks. It’s no small task and willrequire a great deal of patience. You’ll need to collect the following materials:

With everything collected, you can nowcraft ten Trolley Track pieces and the Trolleyitself at your Crafting Station! Then,decorate your valleywith the new tracks. ensure tokeep the Trolley in your inventoryand bring it to Oswald.
He’ll adorn it with a ribbon andask you to place itsomewhere where everyone can welcome it. Once placed, you cantake a commemorative photowith the villagers of Eternity Isle!
How To Find The Runaway Trolley
After taking the picture, the trolley disappears.Speak to Oswaldto find out what happened. The trolley has run off and you’ll need tomake missing postersfor it.
The first step is toask Rapunzel for blank canvases. She has a few to spare. Next, you’ll need togather five Octopusesand one Tropical Wood. Bring the components to Oswald so he can make the missing posters.
To spread the word about the missing trolley, open your furniture menu andplace each of the signsin the following locations:
If you’ve moved anyone’s home from Eternity Isle to Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to put the missing posters outside their new location.
With the missing posters set up,return to Oswald. There’s been a sighting of the trolley near the Docks in Ancient’s Landing! Hurry to the Docks and take a picture of the trolley flying around in the air.
Take the picture to Oswald andstart devising a planto help the trolley land. Oswald gives you a recipe for a plan: you’ll needpaper, dates, and a nestling pear.
While unconventional,head to a stoveto put all the ingredients together.
Freshly made,eat the planto brainstorm a grand idea. You’ll immediately want totalk to EVEabout a landing platform for the trolley.
EVE will give you flares you can use to signal the trolley to land. You’ll also need to gatherfive bones, two electric power, and one brass ingot. Put it all together at a Crafting Station tocreate a landing stripto help the trolley land safely. You only need toplace it on the Docks!
Make sure to place it close to the actual Docks, otherwise the bones won’t appear to lead the trolley home.
Once the landing strip is in place,speak with Oswaldwhile you wait for the trolley to land. It will only take a few moments for the trolley to return to Oswald, and Oswald will be grateful for your help.
You’ll wrap up the quest and get tokeep the trolleyas a decoration. You’ll also get theOswaldian Zoot Suitas a reward for completing Oswald’s final friendship quest.
