Summary
It’s been a while since a Triple-ABleachgame made its way to consoles. In fact, it’s been exactly 13 years. That’s when Bleach: Soul Resurrección launched forthe PlayStation 3. But that might change very soon.
Taking to Twitter,Midori, who’s revealed information in the past about Japanese game development, shared that a new Bleach game will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Check it out:
They followed up their initial post by also sharing that the game will be published by KLabGames. Currently, KLabGames is responsible for the free-to-play gacha title Bleach: Brave Souls. It was originally a mobile game before later making its way to PlayStation hardware in 2021.
More Than One Bleach Game May Be In Development
Midori’s reporting echoes what others have been seeing regarding new Bleach video games. As it stands, while KLabGames isresponsible for Brave Souls, it appears that the game that is coming to Switch is a completely new title.
The team shared that they had acquired the rights to a new Bleach game in its Q1 report.
According to the release, the company is working on the “first hybrid casual game"involving Tite Kubo’s popular manga. Hybrid casual gaming is a catch-all term for games that blend two different genres in an effort to retain players. In other words, what many mobile games are built around.
Elsewhere,Bleach: Soul Resonance will be making its way to mobilein the near future. It’s currently in a pre-registration phase with no set time frame for launch.
Finally, there is Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. That title was spotted last December when a trademark was filed in Europe. While details are scarce, it appears that the game will be for consoles.
With Summer Game Fest quickly approaching, perhaps any one of these games will make an appearance. 2024 has already been a banner year for anime video games, withJujutsu Kaisengetting its first game,DLC releases for Naruto x Boruto: Storm Connectionsand release dates fornew GundamandDemon Slayer titles. There’s also the possibility thatDragon Ball: Sparking Zero launches, too. A Bleach game would be the cherry on top of a packed year.
