When you defeat a boss for the first time in this new PvE mode, you earn a point, which goes towards a mini battle pass that unlocks badges, fighter currency, and eventually Agent Smith.
Some players even report that the Jason X skin is the last tier.
Not only do the rewards include Agent Smith, but an “exclusive Agent Smith variant that you may’t get anywhere else”. You have until July 30 to complete all six pages, so there’s plenty of time to unlock this Matrix villain for free.
What Is Rift Mode In MultiVersus?
Rift Mode sees you travel the multiverse to battle different opponents “around a particular theme” such as Joker infiltrating the Batcave. It’s a lot like Invasions fromMortal Kombat 1, complete with combat mutators that make each fight unique. You can either play it solo or team up with your friends in co-op.
According tothe MultiVersus website, Rifts Mode is “in its first iteration and will continue to evolve within [this] season and beyond”. Right now, there aren’t just bosses but mini-games like quick matching and volleyball that spice things up between fights.
You can level up your characters via this mode if online PvP isn’t your thing, and throughout each season, you’ll unlock gems which can be equipped for bonuses like boosted defence and improved damage.
