Summary

Wanna feel old? It’s been more than 20 years since Return of the King hit cinemas. That means it’s been even longer since the firstLord of the Ringsmovie. Best not to think about that too much if you lived through it like I did and instead, focus on Lord of the Rings being back in vogue. It’s never really fallen out of favor, but with a new Peter Jackson-led movie coming in 2026 and Rings of Power season two hitting this summer, Funko felt now was the right time to introduce some new Lord of the Rings Pops into the mix.

Five new figures based on characters from Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy were revealed last week, and all of them are already available to pre-order on Amazon. Two of the Pops are based on characters who tower over the rest of the cast, and their figures reflect that. The Cave Troll Popis 5.6 inches tall, and Treebeard’s figure, complete with Merry and Pippin nestled in his branches, is even taller than that. Their prices also reflect that as at $24.99 each, the Pops are considerably more expensive than regular figures.

Treebeard With Merry & Pippin Super Funko Pop

If you’d rather spend a little less, there are two normal-sized Pops also available for pre-order for $12.99 each. The Pop you pick from those two will very much determine on which side you’d have fallen has you lived in Middle-earth when Frodo and The Fellowship were taking The One Ring to Mordor. You could side with the good guys andgrab a Legolas Greenleaf figure, or you could buy the uncomfortably accurate Mouth of Sauron Pop.

Five New Lord Of The Rings Funko Pops

Treebeard With Merry & Pippin Super Funko Pop

Funko’s super-sized Treebeard Pop not only stands at 6.1 inches tall, so almost twice as tall as a regular Pop, but it has miniature Pop versions of Merry and Pippin sitting in its branches, just like the Hobbits did in the Lord of the Rings movies.

Rounding out the quintet of new Lord of the Rings Funko Popsis the most expensive of the five, but that’s because it includes a figure and a famous Middle-earth location to go along with it. The character included in the set is Bilbo Baggins, and he’s proudly presenting Bag-End, the house he called home in Hobbiton. You can add the Pop versions of Bilbo and Bag-End to your Funko collection for $34.99, and like the other four figures available now, it will be released on June 29, 2025.

Mouth Of Sauron Funko Pop

Mouth Of Sauron Funko Pop

Infamous for spreading the bad word of Sauron throughout Middle-earth, the Mouth of Sauron is one of the scariest-looking characters in Lord of the Rings. So creepy that even as a fun Funko Pop, very little of the fear the character is capable of imparting has been lost.

Funko’s new range of Lord of the Rings Pops joinsLego’s impressive Barad-dur set. The set is available now if you’re a Lego Insider and will go on general sale from tomorrow (June 4). Made up of almost 5,500 pieces, the towering set costs $460 and joins 2023’s Rivendell set. Perhaps next year we will get another Lord of the Rings location to build out of Lego.
