“Hope the license survivor chapter in July is [The Walking Dead] orTomb Raider,” one fan commented. “I would also have to guess Miss L.C.,” Gumpy887 replied in a now-deleted comment.

While Lara Croft might not appear to fit the horror aesthetic, as fans point out, reviewers at the time said that Shadow of the Tomb Raider felt like a horror game at points, and The Descent - a 2006 horror film - was cited as one of the influences of Tomb Raider (2013).

We know a licensed survivor is coming next month, and developer Behaviour Interactive even gave us a clue, calling them “a character who truly embodies the meaning of Survivor.”

The 2013 reboot trilogy is known asthe Survivor Trilogy, and as I said before, it was partly inspired by The Descent with its latest entry even being likened to horror in some reviews. So,many fans speculatedthat this tease from Behaviour was hinting at a Lara Croft crossover.

The other leading theory is that it’ll be based on The Walking Dead, which fits Dead by Daylight’s horror IP soup better, but given Gumpy887’s comment, it looks more and more likely that Lara Croft will be the one to enter The Fog.
