Summary
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2has received another gameplay trailer during this year’s Summer Game Fest, ahead of its full release later this year.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance - the game that has you playing a peasant called Henry on his journey to become a fully fledged knight - is getting a sequel. Given the game was quite niche, focusing on a more historical medieval setting with a heavy emphasis on realistic combat, it came as a bit of a surprise to fans, but not an unwelcome one.

Almost two months onfrom its initial announcement, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has now popped up at Summer Game Fest with a brand-new trailer, showcasing exactly what Henry will be getting up to later this year. Not only that, but developer Warhorse Studios has shown off even more gameplay, as Henry fights off an army of invading soldiers from inside a keep, dropping rocks on soldiers and fighting them off.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Gets New Gameplay Trailer, No Release Date
We also see a variety of weaponry used in the trailer, all the way from the aforementioned rock that used to cave a man’s head in, to ranged weaponry such as rifles and crossbows. We also get to see some more of that clunky, melee combat that the first game was known for, and I’m sure that developer Warhorse Studios has prepped even more challenges that will chew us up and spit us out in the sequel.
Essentially, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 just looks like more of the same, and that’s not exactly a bad thing given that we’ve still yet to see any other studio attempt the brutal world that made the original so different to anything else we’ve played.
Of course, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 wasn’t the only big announcement at Summer Game Fest, as we also got some updates and reveals of other exciting titles. For example,we saw the first reveal of Civilization 7, the announcement ofa Lego Horizon game that will launch on PlayStationas well as PC and Nintendo Switch, andthe next set of characters coming to Street Fighter 6. We also got to seethe new Night Springs DLC for Alan Wake 2, as well as confirmation that physical deluxe and collector’s editions are on the way, following the heat Remedy got for its all-digital release.
