Summary
Indiana Jones and the Great Circlehas re-emerged atXbox’sSummer Game Festshowcase with a new cinematic trailer that sadly didn’t reveal a release date.
Although it’s fair to say thatXbox hasn’t had the greatest start to the year due to some controversial business decisions, the latter half of 2024 does at least look pretty bright for the studio. One of the big reasons for this is because of MachineGames' Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which was re-revealed earlier this yearand looks like one of the most interesting games Xbox has done in a while.
With Indiana Jones and the Great Circle clearly positioned as Xbox’s big game of 2024, there was no doubt in everyone’s mind that it’d be popping up in some form or another during its Summer showcase. That turned out to be the case, as The Great Circle has just been shown off with a lengthy cinematic look.
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Is Still Set For 2024
The trailer for The Great Circle mostly focused on Indiana Jones' adventures in a snowier part of the world with his companion. We didn’t get to see much gameplay, but we did get some extended cutscenes that shows us more of the game’s villain, who I think we all want to punch in the face.
Although I think we were all expecting a release date for The Great Circle, that unfortunately didn’t happen, as the trailer ended by saying that it’s still coming in 2024. That seems like it’s going to be quite a late release in the year, then. At least we got a bunch of new gameplay and cutscenes, which all make The Great Circle look very promising.
As great as the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was, there is one thing that remains unconfirmed about the game - its status as a multiplatform release. Ever since Xbox announced that it’d be bringing some titles over to other consoles,Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is one that has been highly rumoured to be heading over to PlayStation after its initial launch.
That wasn’t mentioned at all during the showcase, so if you’re hoping to play The Great Circle when it launches, then you’re probably going to have to stick to an Xbox console.
