Final Fantasy 14’s next expansion, Dawntrail, is on the horizon, and as we count down the weeks until we can experience it for ourselves, Square Enix has been unveiling more information about the new content, as well as upcoming changes.
Unsurprisingly, some of the upcoming changes involve tomestones and scrips, so be prepared to lose some of these soon. We’ve got a complete breakdown of everything you need to know right here so you’re able to prep your Warrior of Light ahead of launch and spend those tomestones and scrips before it’s too late.
Upcoming Changes To Tomestones In 7.0
As expected,two new types of tomestones will be arrivingwith the launch of Dawntrail, which players will earnonce they reach the new level cap of 100.
Obtainable And Exchangable?
Comedy

Once Dawntrail (7.0) launches, these will no longer be available to earn or exchange for items. However, you will be able to exchange them for Allagan Tomestones of Poetics instead.
The duties that currently offer these will instead reward either Allagan Tomestones of Poetics or one of the new tomestone currencies. Items that can be purchased with these at present will be made available through other means.
Causality
Astronomy
These have already been discontinued and can currently beexchanged for Allagan Tomestones of Causality. However, once Dawntrail (7.0) launches, you will no longer be able to exchange these.
Poetics

These will still be available in duties up to level 90 and various duty roulettes.

For all tomestone exchanges, you need to travel to Revenant’s Toll, Mor Dhona, and speak with Auriana at (X:22.7, Y:6.7).
Upcoming Changes To Scrips In 7.0
NewCrafters' and Gatherers' Scripswill be added when Dawntrail launches, which will be available when exchanging collectableitems of level 100.
White Scrips
Once Dawntrail (7.0) launches, these will no longer be available to earn or exchange for items. However, you will be able to exchange them for Purple Scrips instead.
Items that can be purchased with these at present will mostly be purchasable with Purple Scrips, though there are some exceptions.
Yellow Scrips
These have already been discontinued and can currently be exchanged for White Scrips. However, once Dawntrail (7.0) launches, you will no longer be able to exchange these.
Purple Scrips
These will still be available after Dawntrail launches, but they will effectively be replacing White Scrips as they will be used to purchase most of the rewards currently available with White Scrips.
For all scrip exchanges, you need to travel to Revenant’s Toll, Mor Dhona, and speak with the Scrip Exchange NPC at (X:22.4, Y:6.7).
