Whenever a new major event gets launched inGenshin Impact, you’d usually have to go through a massive quest while playing a couple of minigames that don’t take a lot of time. However, this isn’t the same for the Version 4.7 update, as the entire major event relies on two parts of the same minigame.

During the Mutual Security Enhancing Simulation event, you’ll have to take part in various stages of Assault andDefense scenarios to winevery reward, and here are a few tips for each stage of the former.

Power Algorithm Guide (Stage One)

Enemy Lineup

Pyro Slime, Electro Slime, Hilichurl Fighter, Electro Cicin, Electro Hilichurl Shooter, Cryo Hilichurl Shooter

Treasure Hoarder Pyro Potioneer, Eremite Sunfrost, Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Hydro Cicin, Cryo Hilichurl Shooter, Electro Slime

Sweeping Whirlwind

The first stage is quite straightforward as it aims to get you used to the general mechanics. As you enter, you’ll find one Stronghold Mechanism in your possessionwhile another two will be in the enemy’s possession. The stage starts with the enemy placing two sets of Electro Slimes and a couple of Cryo Hilichurl Shooters a bit after that.

To counter this, it’s highly recommended to place yourtankiest unit in the front and various ranged units at a distance behind it. You should start placing units as the slimes are about to reach the radius of your Mechanism as this will reduce the damage taken from the enemy Mechanism.

It’s important to keep a distance between all unitsso that they don’t all get defeated with one AoE attack.

After placing your initial units, you may use the first charge ofSweeping Whirlwind to group the enemies near the Cryo Mechanism. As soon as your units defeat these enemies, they’ll easily take this mechanism right after. While all this happens, you should consistently place units as they get ready while spreading them out on the battlefield.

If you follow these steps, you’ll haveenough pressure on the enemies to power through the stage.

Outflank And Encircle Guide (Stage Two)

Electro and Pyro Kairagi, Cryo and Pyro Specter, Electro Nobushi, Hydro Samachurl

Eremite Sunfrost, Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Electro and Hydro Cicin, Electro Hilichurl Shooter, Hilichurl Fighter

Blazing Breakthrough

This stage features the first Stronghold Flag past the mechanism under your control, and it’s highly important to capture this asyou can have a 25 percent boost on your unit cooldown. The enemy starts by spawning a Nobushi quickly followed by a Pyro Kairagi, which are both single-target units.

While the Nobushi slowly walks towards your stronghold, you should place your first tank unitas soon as he enters the radius of the second enemy mechanism. Follow this up by placing all the other ready units and separating them over the battlefield. This will let you start capturing the flag while fighting the Nobushi at the edge of the enemy mechanism.

You can also useboth your leadership skill charges on the Nobushi and Pyro Kairagihere to have a dominant start.

This will already help you create enough pressure, especially with the 25 percent unit creation boost,to get through the entire battlefield. You only have to beware of the fourth enemy, which will be the Pyro Specter, since you’ll need some units that can target flying enemies to defeat it.

Saturation Fire Theory Guide (Stage Three)

Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Geovishap Hatchling, Hydro Mimic Finch, Ruin Guard, Hydro Cicin, Treasure Hoarder Pyro Potioneer

Electro and Pyro Kairagi, Ruin Guard, Cryo and Pyro Specter, Hydro Samachurl

Momentous Wave

In this stage, you’ll see a Siege unit in the form of a Ruin Guard for the first time. These unitsignore every enemy on the field and target the enemy mechanisms only. You’ll also see a divide in the battlefield here, but the line in the middle isn’t a fence, and both the allied and enemy units can go over it quite easily.

In our experience, aRuin Guard was always one of the starting unitson this stage as long as you have it in the lineup.

As the stage starts, the enemy will spawn the Treasure Hoarder and Mimic on each side, with the latter going straight for your Pyro mechanism. This might be stressful to see, but you canignore this unit as your mechanism will be able to defeat it easily. You can start by placing a Ruin Guard with all your other units in the middle or left side of the battlefield.

These mobs will easily get the Anemo Mechanism from the enemy and let you start focusing on the final one. As your allied units gather at the Anemo Mechanism, you may use your leadership skill to heal them up as a group. Since you’ll be able to have some Specters along with multiple tanky units by this time, the victory will be quite easy.

Contested River Crossings Guide (Stage Four)

Hilichurl Fighter, Nible Harvester Mek, Suppression Specialist Mek, Treasure Hoarder Pyro Potioneer, Hydro Samachurl, Bubbler Seahorse

Geovishap Hatchling, Hydro Mimic Finch, Electro Kairagi, Nible Harvester Mek, Cryo Specter, Hydro Samachurl

This stage will feature up to five strongholds with two flags, one on each side. The last thing you want during this battle isboth the flags being captured by the enemy. This is almost a guaranteed defeat for you since the enemy will be able to spawn units much faster, easily overwhelming your units and strongholds.

The enemy starts by placing a Suppression Specialist Mek on the back side of the battlefieldwith the Treasure Hoarder near the flag on the right side soon after. To counter this, you should start with a tanky unit as close to the flag on the left side as possible. You can place the rest of the unit spread behind the tank.

The tank will enter the flag area, allowing you to easily capture it first. This is an important capturesince this flag is closer to the enemy.

The most troublesome enemy on this stage is the Nible Harvester Mek as it has a rush attack thatdeals damage to enemies on its path while it can jump around your units. You’ll need the combination of Hydro Mimic and Cryo Specter to freeze this enemy and easily deal with it, but your Cryo Mechanism can also help.

Once you have both the flags under your possession, victory will be quite easy.

Maneuver, Maneuver, And More Maneuver Guide (Stage Five)

Eremite Sunfrost, Eremite Desert Clearwater, Cryo Specter, Electro and Hydro Cicin, Floating Anemo Fungus

Ruin Guard, Eremite Sunfrost, Suppression Specialist Mek, Pyro and Cryo Specter, Bubbler Seahorse

Sweeping Whirlwind, Momentous Wave

Once you see the lineup for the fifth stage in the Assault Scenario, you’ll quickly realize that this might be theeasiest one even if you have to capture three mechanisms. The enemy starts with the Anemo Fungus spawned on the back side of the battlefield with various Cicin groups being spawned in the middle.

Ideally, you’d want to start with yourRuin Guard and other tanky units on either side. Make sure you focus on one mechanism at a time. Most of your tanky units will go straight for the Mechanism since they can’t attack flying units if they’re melee. While this is good for the start, you’d still want ranged units as soon as possible so that you don’t get overwhelmed.

This is the main reason for Sweeping Whirlwind to be a great skill here. You can simplyuse it to group up and defeat enemiesin the middle whenever they’re close to each other.

With this strategy, you’lleasily be able to brute force through this stagedue to the lack of tanky or crowd-controlling units on the enemy side.

Pyro and Electro Slime, Pyro and Cryo Specter, Hydo Mimic Finch, Bubbler Seahorse

Sunfrost Eremite, Nimble Harvester Mek, Pyro and Cryo Specter, Ruin Guard, Hydro Cicin

As soon as this stage starts, the enemy spawns up to six Slimes on the left side including both Pyro and Electro elements. If you have the Sweeping Whirlwind skill, itcan easily be used to deal with these enemies in a second. On the other hand, you can start with placing your Ruin Guards and other unit to take over the left Mechanism.

While that happens, an enemy Finch willattempt to attack your right tower, but the tower can deal with that. As your units get ready, you’re able to also place them on the right side so that all your units can now target that Mechanism. Whenever you see your units being grouped up, you can use Momentous Wave to heal them.

It’s a priority to keep yourRuin Guard and Sunfrost Eremite alivefor as long as possible.

If you follow this strategy, you’ll be able todominate the enemieswith the number of your forces quite easily.

Crushing Pincer Maneuver (Stage Seven)

Sunfrost Eremite, Nimble Harvester and Suppression Specialist Mek, Ruin Guard, Anemo Fungus, Cryo Hilichurl Shooter,

Eremite Desert Clearwater, Electro Kairagi, Suppression Specialist Mek, Cryo Specter, Geovishap Hatchling, Treasure Hoarder Pyro Potioneer

This stage might seem simple at first, but there’s a specific mechanic at play here. If you look at the map of the battlefield, you’ll see a horizontal line in the middle, which signifies the presence of a small water body. Whenever an enemy or allied unit passes through this, the Hydro effect will be appliedto them.

The battle starts with enemy spawning two Nimble Harvester Meks, and the best way to counter them is byhaving a Cryo Specter on the field as fast as possible. The specter will freeze these enemies, allowing the other units from your team to attack them. Keep an eye on your team’s HP and heal them up with your skill whenever needed.

Your units will take quite a lot of damage in this stage since therewill be at least one Mechanism attacking themat all times.

Once you deal with the Nimble Meks, you’ll already have two Suppression Meks coming at you. This is where your faster units will run to them while the slower units will get left behind. Moreover, there’s a chance that your faster units might attack these second wave of Meks right in between the last two enemy-controlled Mechanisms.

This is another reason for you to require the healing skill. While this happens, you can easily take the second tower from the enemy anddedicate all your units to the final tower, winning the battle.
