Watchful Spirit is a new Incantation added toElden Ringwith the release of Shadow of the Erdtree. While not the most powerful Incantation out there, it is certainly a fun one to use since it provides a passive damage source for a while. When used, it allows you to conjure up apparitions that target enemies nearby. Moreover, it does not have a huge FP cost, letting you spam it if needed.
to find the Watchful Spirit, you will need to travel to the Belurat, Tower Settlement dungeon. This area is accessible from the very beginning of Shadow of the Erdtree.
How To Get The Watchful Spirit Incantation
You will need tocomplete the Belurat, Tower Settlement dungeonto unlock the Watchful Spirit. While you are progressing through the area, you will need to find these items:
Storeroom Key
Travel to the Small Private Altarand head up the stairs on the right. After you head up the second set of stairs, turn right and continue to follow the path until youreach the very top of the waterfall. When looking at the waterfall, enter the room on your right to find a ladder. You willfind theStoreroom Keyat the topof this room.
Divine Beast Head
You will need todefeat the Divine Beast Dancing Lionat the end of Belurat, Tower Settlement to get this item. Divine Beast Dancing Lion is a fairly challenging fight, even if you consider yourself a little over-leveled. Throughout the fight, it willcontinue to change its elemental attacks, requiring you to dodge fire, frost, and lightning.

With both items in hand, you will need tospeak with Hornsent Grandamnear the Small Private Altar.
Where To Find Hornsent Grandam
Begin at the Small Private Altar again, but instead of heading up the stairs, turnleft toward a balconywith a couple of enemies. Continue heading straight andopen the room on the left sideto find Hornsent Grandam.
If you try tospeak with her without the Divine Beast Head, she will not respond.
Once you have found her,equip the Divine Beast Headin order to interact with her. Continue to exhaust her dialogueuntil she hands over the Watchful Spiritincantation.
Watchful Spirit Overview
You will need to have26 Faith and 12 FPto be able to cast Watchful Spirit.
When used, it willsummon numerous apparitions that deal damageto nearby enemies. These apparitions do not have a lot of range, so you will need to get in close to make good use of them.
