How To Get The Shock Stick

You can buy the Shock Stick at theShop Kiosk for $400of revenue. With such a high-end price tag, the Shock Stick won’t be attainable untilaround the third dayof your playthrough.

Revenue earnings aretied to video views, which means thatmore views will give you more money. With this in mind, you’ll need to make around two impressive videos to make enough money to afford the Shock Stick.
Once you have earned $400 or more, you’re able to head to the Shop Kiosk andadd the Shock Stick to your cart. Make sure youclick the purchase button at the bottom of the kiosk.

You can also find the Shock Stick on the floor as arandom encounter item. Look for glowing green dots when you explore the map. These green dots usually mean there is adropped gadgeton the ground.

If you’re being lifted into the air by the giant Larva monster, for instance,one good shock is enoughto make the monster drop you, at which point you shouldstart runningas far and as fast as you can. But for low-threat monsters like Mouthe, you can safely zap them as many times as your battery allows.
You can alsoshock your friends! This makes for funny video content, and if you’re feeling particularly evil, you can shock your friends andleave them as monster bait. Sacrificing your friends is a great way to get more views.

If you shock your friends, they will beprone for a few secondsand won’t be able to get up immediately. Keep this in mind when saving or sacrificing your party members.
You can not only use the Shock Stick for self-defense and attacking targets, but also tosave your friends. If a friend is captured, try toshock the monsterhurting them.Not every monsteris susceptible to electric shocks, butmostare.

How To Charge The Shock Stick
The only downside to the Shock Stick is that it only has alimited amount of charges. you may getaround four or five shocksout of a fully charged Shock Stick, provided youonly activate it at the momentthat you shock an enemy.
If you constantly have the Shock Stick turned on, you willlose battery quickly. There’sno wayto charge your gadgets in the Old World, so it’s best to verify you’re leaving the Sky Island with a fully charged Shock Stick.
You should alsobe sparingabout how and when you use the Shock Stick. The Shock Stick can be youronly chance of escapein certain scenarios, but it can also provide opportunities for gaining views.
To charge the Shock Stick,head to the charging stationon your Sky Island — the same place where youcharge your flashlightandRescue Hook. Wait by the charging station until you see the battery percentage on the top right of your screen reach 100%.
Tips For Using The Shock Stick
In a large group, you’re able to get away with using the Shock Stick to sacrifice other players, but if you’replaying aloneor with only one buddy, you shouldsave your Shock Stick charges for emergencies.
The Shock Stick is a bitdifficult to wield. Like the Boom Mic and Long Flashlight, the Shock Stick is a very long, non-bendable gadget. Because of this, you are more likely to get caught on corners and yourShock Stick may glitch into floors, walls, or even through the bottom of the Dive Bell.
To avoid getting caught on things, only toggle your Shock Stick in your hot bar when you areready to use it.
If you are going to deploy the Shock Stick,look at the ceilingwhile you equip it. This will prevent you from being glitched into objects andsave you timewhen equipping it in tight areas.
Shocking monsters canincrease your video views, but shocking your friends willalsoincrease views! If you want to avoid repercussions, shock your friends during yourIsland Intros or Outros. If you’re ok with sacrificing a player, you will get even more views when shocking friends in front of monsters.
Bonus pointsif you shock your friend and they end up getting eaten or killed.Catching deaths and dead bodieson camera really boosts video views. Plan your sacrifices well, and you’ll rake in the views in no time.
Monsters You Can Use The Shock Stick On
You won’t be able to use the Shock Stick on every enemy you can encounter, butmost monsterswill react to the Shock Stick.
Here is a list of monsters you can use the Shock Stick on:
Spider
A spider-like creature that shoots webs at you.
Shocking the Spider willprevent it from spitting websat you and give you time to get free of any webs you are caught in.
Laser Dog
A robot dog that fires lasers at you. You can detect them by their red glow.
If you manage to sneak upbehindthe Laser Dog, you canstun themenough to buy your friends an escape route.
Big Slap
A tall humanoid with a small head.
you may stun it long enough torun awayor, at the very least, hide.
Knife Ghost
A small ghost in a sheet, brandishing a knife. It will giggle like a Chucky doll when it’s nearby.
Stunning Knife Ghost willprevent it from stabbingand kicking you to death. You may need to stun this fast monstermore than once.
Large Knife Ghost
A large version of the Knife Ghost. It can jump several stories to reach you.
you may stun the Large Knife Ghost thesame wayyou would stun the regular Knife Ghost.
Bomb Monster
A many-legged monster who lobs various grenades at you.
If you sneak upbehindthe Bomb Monster or while he’s throwing a grenade, you can stun him andprevent him from attacking.
Barnacle Ball
A circular barnacle-covered ball with three legs.
Hit the Barnacle Ball with a shock, and it willcancelits tornado-like suction attack.
Eye Guy
A large eyeball monster with praying mantis arms.
If you can’t avoid being in the range of its pushing attacks, you can use the Shock Stick tokeep it at bay.
Larva
A huge bony larva monster with two massive hands.
Shock this monster to keep it at bay, or tointerrupt it from throwing youor an ally.
Mouthe
A small monster with a large head and a huge mouth. He’ll scream at you when you’re least expecting.
Shocking Mouthe hasno practical valuebeyond looking funny and earning views.
Snatcho
A many-legged alien-like creature that drags unsuspecting targets to another location.
If you’re lucky, you can interrupt Snatcho from dragging you away. Zapping will alsomake it drop you.
Snail Zombie
A snail-zombie hybrid.
Shocking the Snail Zombie won’t do much, but it makes forgreat content.
Mime
A silent, creepy mime.
You won’t hear the mime coming, but if you see it, you should zap it anddash as fast as you may.
Streamer
A player-esque creature with a Shock Stick of its own.
It’s a battle of zaps. May the best zapper win. If you have the quicker draw, you canzap the Streamer and run.
Impostor
The impostor will look exactly like your party members, but won’t answer you in voice chat.
When the Impostor inevitably ignores you,shock it and get going. The Impostor is not friendly.
Tapeworm
A dual-mouthed worm that binds two players to each other.
You can zap the Tapeworm toseparate yourselves. It also makes for great content.
Accordion Arms
A human-like creature with long extendable arms. It sounds like an accordion when its arms are being extended or retracted.
Zap Accordion Arms toget out of its grasp. When it finishes drawing you in, it will suck out your soul.
Puffo
A blow-fish-like ground creature who expands to smack you around.
Zapping Puffo willkeep it from expandingand launching you into the air. It’s also just funny and gives great views.
Wallo
Sometimes known as the portal monster, Wallo will pull a full Domain Expansion and send you to one of four dimensions.
If you’re lucky, you caninterrupt the teleportation processor buy your allies time to run.
Some monsters, like the Tardigrade and Captcha,won’t reactto the Shock Stick, and shocking themwon’t help free you.
