Crafting recipes do not come easy inEchoes of The Plum Grove. You have to work to find and unlock certain crafting recipes and tools needed to progress and the game does not hold your hand through these tasks.
Managing your tools and upgrading them is an important part of managing your farm. Tools break with use and as your farm expands you will need tougher, shinier tools to farm and mine with.
How To Repair Tools
you may’t use the same tools until the next upgrade. Tools in Echoes of The Plum Grovebreak with use.
The starter tools you get will probably needrepairing every two to three days, if you are using them daily.
If your tool breaks before you can repair it, you will need to buy or craft a new one. When tools are broken, they disappear forever.
To repair your tools, you will have tospeak to Rowland Smith, the town blacksmith.Repairing your tools costs money.
Theprice of repairinga tool depends onhow damagedthe tool actually is. If it is around90 percentbroken, you are looking at30 or so gold. If it is onlya bit damaged, you would have to pay aroundtwo to eight gold.
When you pay Rowland to repair a tool,he will remove it from you for the day.This means you will have to find another activity to do for the rest of the day that does not involve that tool.
You willreceive the repaired tool in your mailboxthe next morning.
How To Get Better Tools
Youcannot craft new toolsin Echoes of The Plum Grove. The only way to get a new tool or a better tool is topurchase one from Rowland Smith.
NPC’s storeinventories rotateevery so often. Some days you may only see Simple and Stone tools in Rowland’s store.
Wait until Rowland Smith starts sellingStone, Iron, or Steel toolsin his rotation. All tools, including the starter ones, can be purchased by trading with Rowland Smith.
The better the tool, the more it will cost.Steel tools are the besttools you may get in Echoes of The Plum Grove. They get sold for around1600+ gold each.
