The 1.6 update ofStardew Valleyhas introduced many new additions to the combat system, including Combat Trinkets. These trinkets offer many different passive effects, such as healing, immobilizing enemies, or even dealing extra damage.

How To Unlock Combat Mastery
To use trinkets in Stardew Valley, you will firstneed tounlock your Combat Mastery.The Mastery system isfound within a cave in the southeast section of Cindersap Forestnear the Sewer Pipe, butonly becomes available once you fully maximize all five skills.
To fully maximize the five skills in the game, you will need tocomplete basic tasks within the area of the skill.For example, mining for minerals will increase your Mining skill, while catching fish increases your Fishing skill.

By entering this small cave,you can find five Mastery Plaquesthat Grandpa prepared before he passed away, which can be unlocked by earning more XP. To be able to equip the Magic Quiver, you shouldunlock the Combat Mastery Plaque as soon as possible.
How To Find And Use The Magic Quiver
Once you have unlocked the Combat Mastery Plaque, you will now have a small chance to find a Magic Quiver, or other Combat Trinkets, by completing basic tasks around the valley. Here are the following ways you may find the Magic Quiver:
To use the Magic Quiver,put the item in your trinket slot,which is right next to the hat section in your inventory. With the Magic Quiver equipped,a magical arrow will automatically launch at enemiesduring a set interval of time, soyou never have to worry about aiming or reloading the quiver.

How To Upgrade The Magic Quiver
By unlocking Combat Mastery, you will also gain access to theAnvil crafting recipe,whichallows you to upgrade your trinketswhen built. By placing your Trinket on the Anvil, you can randomly change the stats of your Magic Quiver,at the cost of three Iridium Bars.
Like other Combat Trinkets, the Magic Quiverhas several versions offering different stats.Here are all the Magic Quivers you can own:

As always, the ‘Perfect’ variant of any Combat Trinket will be the best option available. The Perfect Magic Quiverguarantees that you will send out an arrow every second,dealing a sizable amount of damage.
When To Use The Magic Quiver
As the Magic Quiver provides no utility outside of dealing damage, this trinket isbest utilized when fighting many different enemies at once.As you advance in the game, you will face more challenging waves of enemies inthe Skull CavernandGinger Island Volcano,and the extra damage the Magic Quiver provides willallow you to dispatch enemies faster.
Furthermore, if enemies are groupedthe Magic Quiver’s arrows can deal damage in a small AOE,which can make swarms of enemies pose very little threat. Overall, while the Magic Quiver does not provide any defensive utility,it can be useful to whittle down enemies from a safe distance,before you run in and finish them off with a single attack.
