There are dozens of iconic Disney and Pixar characters inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and they can all be welcomed into your village. Whether you unlock their unique movie-themed realm, complete a quest from Merlin, or find them in Eternity Isle, everyone has a place in the valley.
That includes Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit! Introduced in Act II of the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass, Oswald can be added to your community just like any other character. However, he requires quite a bit of work to unlock. Here’s everything you need to know to welcome him to your village and become his best friend!
How To Unlock Oswald
To unlock Oswald, youmust have completed the first actof the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass, which means confronting Jafar at the palace with Gaston, Rapunzel, and EVE.
This will start you down the right path. Reaching Act II allows you to access the Sunken Ruins, which will bring you one step closer to welcoming Oswald. The following are quests that must be completed before you can find him.
The Sunken Ruins Quest Walkthrough
After completing Act I of the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass,speak to Merlinabout the Spark of Imagination. You’ll need togather Flickers from around the Realmsto power up your Royal Hourglass.
Once you’ve found all the Flickers,head to Eternity Isleand Ancient’s Landing. On the western side of the map,near the docks, is a doorway submerged underwater. Meet Merlin here touse your Royal Hourglassand open the way to the Ancient Ruins.
Inside you’ll find three chambers.Take a photoof what’s in each of them andreport back to Merlin.
A Bit Of Help From Your Friends Quest Walkthrough
The next quest,A Bit of Help From Your Friends,breaks off into three separate quests before joining back into one.
Once these quests are complete, you’ll need to go back to the Ancient Ruins andhelp each of the villagers with a different puzzle. EVE needs you tofind three Power Coils, Gaston needs you toclear away debris, and Rapunzel needs you tofind the right melody.
When all the puzzles are solved, you canstand on the pressure platein the center of the ruins toopen a trap door, which will lead you to the lower level of the ruins.
The Spark Of Imagination Quest Walkthrough
Upon finding Oswald in the Ancient Ruins, you’llneed to work togetherto reach the Spark of Imagination. Using Oswald’s unique characteristics, together you’llsolve puzzles that cross the wide gapin the chamber.
You’ll need tocollect Exclamation Points and Question Marksfrom Oswald’s reactions andcombine them with 2D gearsthat float around the ruins. This willcreate the levers and wheelsyou need to cross the chasm and finally reach the Spark of Imagination.
Oswald’s Many Dimensions Quest Walkthrough
After the incident with the Spark of Imagination,Oswald can be foundwandering Eternity Isle.Speak with himto try and work through the communication barrier.
It seems like he wants you to dress like him and collect black and white flowers.
Upon doing that for the quest, however, it’s clear that’s not the case.
Instead, helpsmash through the communication barrierso you may better understand one another. Then, help Oswaldcraft a large pencilto draw his new house. You’ll need to give it some depth with retro 3D glasses, but thenOswald will officially have his own placein your village.
How To Unlock More Of Oswald’s Quests
To unlock more of Oswald’s quests, you’ll need toincrease your friendship level. This can be done byspending time with himand going about your day.
Make sure toassign him a rolethat best suits your playstyle, as it can be changed later once he reaches level ten (so long as you have the right materials).
