XDefiantboasts a diverse selection of firearms to gun your opponents down with. Whether you’re into close encounters with shotguns or prefer to keep your distance with rifles, you’ll be able to find the right weapon for you.
Of course, you’ll only have access to a small collection of guns when you boot the game up, having to earn the rest. This is done through XDefiant’s challenge system, assigning you a series of tasks in order to claim every loadout element available. There are a total of 17 weapons to collect in XDefiant, and their unlock conditions can be found below.
How To Unlock Every Assault Rifle In XDefiant
Assault rifles are a great go-to in XDefiant due to theirbalance of range, power, and maneuverability. Unfortunately, being a jack of all trades also means you’re a master of none;you won’t be able to compete with enemy snipersif they’re too far away, andyou can easily be killed up closeby opponents with submachine guns.
Still,assault rifles are a great first choice, and can help you get a feel for XDefiant’s combat sandbox.
Deal 4,000 damage points with assault rifles.

Get ten Longshot kills with assault rifles (kills must be more than 30 meters away).

How To Unlock Every Submachine Gun In XDefiant
If you want to kill enemies as fast as possible, submachine guns are going to be your best friend.Their high-rate of fire ensures they shred through enemy health bars, letting you score kills in quick succession.The way XDefiant is balanced heavily benefits submachine guns, owing to the game’s lightning-quick movement.
You just need tomake sure you can close the distance on your opponents, otherwise you won’t be effective.

How To Unlock Every LMG In XDefiant
LMGs are a tough sell in XDefiant’s sandbox; with everyone moving so fast, why would you pick a weapon that slows you down? They might not be for everyone, but given the various objective-based modes in the game,they have a tactical use.
These machine guns areperfect for holding areas and choke points, decimating anyone who comes near you. If you aren’t a patient player though, you may want to look elsewhere.

How To Unlock Every Shotgun In XDefiant
Shotguns and submachine guns have a lot in common; they’ll both have you zipping around maps and racking up kills. However,shotguns have a much slower rate of fire, meaning if you miss your shots, you’ll be easy pickings for enemy combatants.They also offer unrivaled firepower, but whether that’s worth the risk will be up to you.
Get ten hipfire kills with shotguns.

How To Unlock Every Marksman Rifle In XDefiant
There is only one marksman rifle to unlock in XDefiant, and that’s the SVD.It’s unlocked by getting 15 Longshot kills with the MK 20 SSR, meaning the kills need to happen from over 30 meters away.
Marksman rifles are perfect for the player who wants the thrill of nailing accurate shots without sacrificing the ability to run-and-gun.They reward precise aim with high damage, making them very dangerous in the right hands.Their place in the weapon sandbox is a bit odd, existing awkwardly between assault and sniper rifles. That being said,they can be a great training toolif you’re looking to develop your sniping skills.
How To Unlock Every Sniper Rifle In XDefiant
You’ll only be adding one more sniper rifle to your arsenal, and that’s the TAC-50. You canunlock this one by netting ten one-shot kills with the M44.
Sniping doesn’t need a lot of explaining: you find a spot to camp, scan the map with your scope, and collect kills. It’s the ultimate display of skill, given thatyou’ll be a liability to your team if you aren’t accurate. XDefiant has a lot of maps that encourage close-quarters encounters, soit remains to be seen how competitively viable snipers will be.
How To Unlock Every Secondary In XDefiant
Secondary weapons are your typical sidearms,meant to supplement your loadout. They’ll never be your main focus, but they’re good in a pinch.Switching to them can also improve your movement speed, letting you traverse the map faster.
