Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’sfourth season has a ton of new content for players to experience. New maps, returning game modes, and brand-new weapons to chase should keep players busy for weeks. The classic Kar98K is back, the SPAS-12 makes a return, and a new SMG is available for more aggressive players.
But as with all previous seasons, you’ll need to unlock these new toys before you can use them. This guide will give an overview of all the new unlockable items that were released with Season 4, everything from new weapons to perks and aftermarket conversion kits.

Season 4 Weapons
The fourth season of MW3 brings with it four new weapons, two of which will be available later in the season. You can unlock the following new armaments:
Weapon Inspiration
Banshee MkG
The Superi 46 is a slow-firing SMG that features excellent mobility and a great damage profile. It’s a four-shot kill at its effective damage range (18.8 meters by default), firing at 667 RPM. It behaves more like an assault rifle than a proper SMG, yet its excellent mobility stats make it a great primary option for aggressive players who care more about movement speed than raw lethality.
Karabiner 98k

It’s back and just as powerful as you remember. The Kar98k returns this season, and it’s arguably the strongest marksman rifle in the game. It’s a one-hit kill to the upper torso and above, reaching out to 50 meters by default. It also has a solid base ADS speed of 360ms, which can be lowered to roughly 300ms with the right attachments. Throw on your favorite optic, and the Kar98k becomes the ultimate quickscoping weapon.
It’s a strong weapon in Warzone as well. The right build can give this weapon hitscan bullets out to 70 meters, and it has incredibly high mobility stats for its archetype. This will likely become a meta pick for players who love sniping on the move.

SPAS-12
Halfway through Season 4, a new Sector in the Battle Pass will unlock access to the Reclaimer 18. This is a shotgun that’s heavily inspired by the real SPAS-12, a pump-action shotgun that can also be used in semi-auto. Based on the Season 4 blog post, this weapon seems to be a semi-automatic weapon; it’s unclear if you can make it a pump-action by toggling the fire mode. Regardless, the Reclaimer will likely excel in small map playlists in core Multiplayer.
Sledgehammer
The Sledgehammer is a new melee weapon that will launch with the Season 4: Reloaded update. Not much else is known about this weapon. It can use the butt of the pole for a quick disorienting attack, or you can commit to a full swing, dealing immense damage to whatever you’re aiming at.
New Perks And Killstreaks
This season brought with it a new Vest option, the Compression Plate perk, and four new killstreaks for core Multiplayer. All of these items are unlocked throughthe Armory Unlock system.
Perks And Vests

Vest
Grants Mission Control for free.
x1 Tactical, x1 Lethal, x1 Field Upgrade, x1 Gloves, x2 Gear
Kills and capturing objectives immediately start HP recovery.

I.M.S.

Deploys a stationary mine that, when activated, will launch an explosive projectile toward a nearby foe.
Loitering Munition
8 Kills
Mark an area on the map. Reactivating the killstreak will launch a small Cruise Missile at the location.
11 Kills
Pilot a drone that fires guided missiles.
Behaves like the Reaper killstreak from 2011’s MW3. Can be shot down.
DNA Bomb
25 Kills (Weapons only)
Deploys an explosive device that wipes the enemy team. It doesnotend the game, similar to the original MW3 MOAB.

Replaces the MGB killstreak from past seasons. You do not need to equip the DNA Bomb to use it.
Aftermarket Parts
As with past seasons, Sledgehammer has addedeight new Aftermarket Partsin Season 4, most of which are weapon conversion kits. Convert the M4 into a battle rifle with .50 Caliber Rounds, reconfigure the Renetti to function like an M9, and much more.
Conversion Kit
Effect
Loads the M4 with .50 Cal ammo. Substantially increases damage at the cost of fire rate, magazine size, and recoil control.
Compatible Platforms
M4
The JAK Harbinger Kit modifies the M4’s receiver to accept .50 Cal ammunition. This effectively turns the M4 intoa better Sidewinder, making it a two-hit kill in Multiplayer with a fire rate of 245 RPM. As you’d expect, the weapon kicks like a mule. Recoil mitigation attachments are highly recommended.
Converts the cylinder to accept .357 ammo, greatly increasing its fire rate at the cost of damage.

Basilisk
Fan the hammer with the JAK Gunslinger Kit, a modification of the Basilisk that converts it into a .357 revolver. The weapon gains an eight-round cylinder, substantially increased fire rate, and removes the fire delay on this weapon. It does come at the cost of overall damage, but the blistering fire rate should make this a great backup weapon in Multiplayer.
Turns into a two-round burst rifle. Features minimal recoil and a custom stock.
KV Inhibitor
The JAK Volkh kit converts the KV Inhibitor into a burst-fire weapon, similar to the SVA 545’s initial burst. Each shot will release two back-to-back shots with minimal dispersion, resulting in highly accurate shots at most engagement distances.
Improves range and recoil control. Enables the use of drum magazines.
FJX Horus
Fans of the FJX Horus can turn the weapon into a close-range powerhouse with the JAK Scimitar Kit. While equipped, the weapon has improved range, reduced recoil, and the ability to install a 60-round magazine attachment. It’s a great kit for players who love the FJX Horus but find its magazine size lacking. It’ll also be a great CQC weapon for Warzone.
RGL-80
The JAK Thumper-656 Kit modifies the RGL-80 grenade launcher with a longer barrel, increasing the projectile velocity of all fired grenades. Additionally,it also allows the RGL-80 to install new ammo types, although it’s unclear what ammo types will be available on this weapon.
Kastov 762
Modern Warfare 2’s Kastov 762is receiving a conversion kit this season, modifying the barrel toremove vertical recoil completely. This will lock your barrel attachment options, so extending the weapon’s effective range will be slightly more difficult. But if you may find a way to mitigate the remaining horizontal recoil, this conversion kit should be quite powerful.
Lachmann Shroud
The Lachmann Shroud is a three-round burst variant of the Lachmann Sub originally seen in MW2.This conversion kit makes it fully automatic, greatly increasing its lethality up close. Recoil control might become an issue with this kit, but if you may handle the increased kick, you’ll dominate enemies at close and medium distances.
Renetti
The JAK Intimidator is a callback to the classic M9 sidearm in past CoD titles. This conversion kit turns the Renetti into a semi-auto pistol, greatly increasing the Renetti’s damage. If you have a fast trigger finger, this might be your new favorite secondary.
