Applying attachments to your weapon not only changes its appearance, but also alters its stats. This will allow you to take your preferred firearms and tweak them to your liking, shoring up their weaknesses or enhancing their strengths to a ridiculous degree. Creating the perfect gun build can be an intoxicating experience, but before you begin experimenting with different combinations, you’ll need all the attachments you can get your hands on.
How To Unlock Attachments
Most unlockables in XDefiant are gated behind challenges, requiring you to perform certain tasks in order to add them to your collection. In contrast,weapon attachments are much easier to claim, simply requiring you tolevel up your guns with experience points.
XDefiant featuresthree types of XP:
As far as attachments are concerned,you only need to focus on weapon XP. This is earned naturally byplaying the game, getting kills, and performing feats of skill, like going on a killstreak.
Each gun levels individually, so you won’t be able to apply attachments you earned with one weapon to another. For example, if you earn a reflex sight on a submachine gun,you won’t be able to use it on an assault rifle until it reaches the requisite level.
This system encourages you tofind a few firearms you really like and commit to them, rewarding you with more flexible build options over time.
The grind to level a gun can be sped up slightlythrough the use of weapon XP boosters. These can be found asrewards in the battle pass, orpurchased separatelyon the game’s storefront.
