The ultimate goal inManor Lordsis to establish a thriving colony that can feed its people and defend itself from outside dangers. While resources fuel your empire, you only get a handful of these in any region.

Every region contains diverse resources that build a self-sustaining town. Wood, meat, stone, clay, iron, and a few others are vital for survival, as each resource is used to craft many other items. Running out of a few could cause disarray, and approval levels will start falling. That is why you need to exchange between regions to get a steady supply of resources.

Manor Lords is currently in Early Access. As a result, the details below may change over the course of development.

How To Exchange Resources Between Regions

Tostart exchanging resourcesbetween regions, you mustfirst claim a region outside the base zone. This can be done by gathering andusing influence. If you want tolay claim on an unoccupied region, you will need 1,000 influence. If the region is occupied, you can still lay claim, but for this, youwill require 2,000 influence.

After acquiring a region, you mustestablish a shelter camp in the new region. This will send five familiesalong with afew resources.

The next step is togather any rich or standard resourcesthat have otherwise been depleted from the base zone or couldrun out soon.

Once that is done, build a Pack Stationin your base zone, andyou will start trading from this building.

How To Build A Pack Station

To get aPack Station in the game, you will need tonavigate the construction menu. The third entry will give you the option to construct this building. You will needone Timber resourceand atleast one free worker to construct a Pack Station.

Once a Pack Station has been built, the next step is to get a mule. The easiest way to do this is to click on the Pack Station, and you willfind the “Order A Mule” optionat the top of it. This method willcost you 25 Regional Wealth.

Alternatively, if you have alreadybuilt the Livestock Trading Post, you canimport a mule for 22 Regional Wealthonly, which is slightly cheaper. In any case, you will need the mule for a Pack Station to work.

The next step involvesassigning one family to this Pack Station. Then, you will have to barter the items between the base zone to another region you want from the “Barter Partner” menu screen.

To begin trading, you need toselect send and receive items from both regions. Thebarter system predicts the exchange value of goods you send versus what you receive. Each mule can transport up to 20 goods per trip, and you can park a maximum of two mules per Pack Station.

So, if youexchange meat for four silver and get berries for two silverper unit, thebarter value becomes double, and you willreceive two berries for every meatitem.
