In the third chapter ofSenua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, you’ll find yourself posed with tests left by the mysterious Hidden Folk. It’s said that they can teach Senua how to defeat the giantess Illtaugr, but she needs to overcome their riddles and find them first.

Passing the three tests to open the way to the underground realm requires that you pay attention to details and look at the bigger picture. If the Hidden Folk’s space-bending puzzles are giving you trouble, this guide offers step-by-step instructions that will get you back on track.

How To Solve The First Hidden Folk Puzzle

Follow the trail from the survivors' settlement after Fargrimr tells you about the Hidden Folk. When you are blocked by a magical barrier,look for a path to the left.Collect the orb there andplace it on the altar near the barrier.

A bubble of water will appear in the air behind you. Stand so that you’re looking straight at it through the water rings, thenFocus on the bubbleuntil the rocks underneath it vanish. you may use this new path to climb up and to the left, where the second orb is hidden.

Climb back down andplace the second orb on the altarto remove the barrier and open the path.

How To Solve The Second Hidden Folk Puzzle

When your way is blocked again,approach the altar then turn around;you’ll see a small hill with a pedestal on top. Walk around to the right side of the hill to climb it and collect the orb there. Just like before, the environment will change;place the orb on the altar.

Focus on the bubble that appears in front of you tocreate a path to the top of the hillunder the bubble. Climb to the top of the ledge,activate the bubble againto summon the pedestal, and grab the orb. You’ll need to activate the bubbleone more timeso you can climb back down.

Place the second orb on the altar, then use the new bubble that appears tocreate a bridge.Cross the bridge and activate the bubble that you find there,putting the third orb almost within reach.Climb back down andremove the bridgeby Focusing on its bubble again; this will clear the way to the last orb. Place it on the altar to complete the test and continue forth.

How To Solve The Third Hidden Folk Puzzle

The third and final puzzle in Chapter 3 is at the shore of a large lake, which you’ll find after crawling through a tunnel shortly after the second test. The altar is in the central area, and you can start the puzzle bycollecting the orb from the hill to the right, at the very edge of the water.

Place the orb on the altar anduse the new bubble on your leftto summon the hill with the next orb. Be sure touse the bubble againafter collecting the orb, as you’ll need tomove this part of the beach back to its original positionlater; you don’t need the hill again, so you may as well do it now.

Place the second orb and use the new bubble toextend the hill on the right side of the area. This will give you a place to stand where you canactivate the third bubble, but beware; a group of Draugr will attack when you do so.

The third and fourth Draugr in the horde use fire and mace attacks, respectively; dodging is more effective against them than parrying.

Once the Draugr are defeated, climb down andreactivate the second bubble, moving the rocks near the cliffside back into position. At this point, thefirst and second bubblesshould be in their starting “off” positions, while the third bubble (the one that triggered the Draugr attack) should be “on.”

With all three bubbles correctly set, you canfollow the path along the cliff faceto the third and final orb. There’s also aLorestangiron the ceiling nearby, so be sure to activate it before climbing back down.

When the third orb is set at the altar, the Hidden Folk will reveal the path to their realm; go inside to begin the next chapter.
