Whenever you play an open-world looting game likeOnce Human, you’d want to get your base down as soon as possible since you’ll need some storage chests to store a bunch of random loot without making your character feel too heavy. However, getting your base down early means that there’s a high chance you’d want to move it later.
In most games, you’d have to pay a certain price to relocate your main base, but thankfully, Once Human embraces this mechanic and even encourages you to do it. So, if you’ve also found a beautiful spot for your base’s relocation, here’s what you need to know.
Once Human is currently in an open beta, and everything mentioned in this article is subject to change.
How To Move Territory In Once Human
You can start the process of moving your territory once you’ve found a suitable location in the giant world of Once Human. Keep in mind that youcan’t build too close to a road or one of the existing buildings in the game. Moreover, you also can’t build inside the territory of another player since the space is shared between many players on the server.
As you find a spot that fulfills all these conditions, you’re able to press the build button to enter the build screen. In this area, you’ll see theoption to move territory on the bottom left of your screen, which is the button ‘Z’ on PCby default. Clicking this button will bring your territory up.
Before placing your territory, you’re able to rotate it around or change its height. You can alsoenter the flight mode to place it better.
Once you place your territory, there’s a ten-minute cooldown before you can place it again. While moving your territory, all your items inside or connected to the main base get movedwhile everything outside it will get transported to your vault. This vault can be accessed by interacting with the core of your base.
From our experience, it’s recommended to not build any structures near the base’s core since thecore can sometimes get teleported on top of the structure near itat the time of writing this article, making it unable to destroy or move either of them. You should also clear all the vegetation before placing your base since they don’t go away and you can’t remove them after the placement.
