Beyond being a heartfelt story about how we deal with grief and the loss of a loved one,Tales of Kenzera: Zauis also a fairly challenging Metroidvania that will test both your platforming abilities and your combat prowess, especially since you’ll have to learn to swap between two different playstyles.
Combine that with four difficult boss battles that test all of the abilities you’ve earned so far and several combat and platforming gauntlets that are dotted around the world, and you’re going to need all the help you can get while journeying through Kenzera. Luckily, several of the game’s collectibles are there to give you the tools you need to make things a little easier, with the most helpful collectible being the Reflection trees.

What Are Reflection Points?
Reflection points arefound throughout Kenzera’s 11 locations that can be interacted with to raise Zau’s overall health, as well as offering some optional dialogue where he reflects on his relationship with his father.
You’ll knowyou’re in the right place if you find a tree with an opening in it like we’ve pictured above, which Zau will go and sit in to increase his health.

There are atotal of six Reflection pointsto find throughout Kenzera, and you’ll be able to see by looking at the map if you’re missing one in the area you’re currently in.
If you’re having trouble finding the Reflection point, it’s worth remembering that they are always marked by trees and can be spotted on the map as such. That’s how I found them, anyway!

How To Find The Great Cliffs Reflection
The first area in Tales of Kenzera: Zau that you’ll be able to find a Reflection point isThe Great Cliffs, which you’ll reachafter exploring the Buluu Caverns. This area is pretty massive and easily one of the biggest in the game, but it’s pretty easy to find where you need to go.
Before reaching Ikakaramba, the next area in the game, you’ll need to climb the Great Cliffs and reach its surface.

When you do get here, which will bejust above the second fast-travel point of the area, you’ll be able to go right and reach a workbench before leaving the biome. Instead of doing that,go to the left to the area you’re able to see on the map. You’ll have to do some basic wall jumping and avoid some spikes, but eventually, you’ll reach the tree and get your first health upgrade.
How To Find The Ikakaramba Reflection
The next Reflection point in Zau isn’t too far away at all, as it’s in the next location on the map you visit -Ikakaramba. This is another massive biome in the game, but it’s another Reflection tree that’s easy to guide you to since it’s right next to one of the only two Fast Travel points in the area.
Right at the very top of Ikakaramba(you’ll notice a theme here), right before you fight the first boss of the game, you’ll see a Fast Travel point that you’ll later need to get back to the Patakatifu.

From here,go to the right until you see a floating purple platform that can be jumped on, which is where you want to be. Keep moving up with wall jumps and more platforming and you’ll find this tree, which is one of the easier ones in the game to reach overall.
How To Find The Drowning Swamps Reflection
Once you’ve beat the first boss of Tales of Kenzera: Zau, you’ll find yourself heading back the way you came andgoing left instead of right from Patakatifu.
Here, you’ll come across one of the smaller sub-areas of the game, The Drowning Swamps. That might sound a little daunting, but it’s another simple one to reach, provided you have the Tawa’s Heart ability, which is unlocked in the Wildwood biome.

Once you’ve got Tawa’s Heart, which lets you break and build walls with energy pulses, head back to The Drowning Swamp andmake your way down to its only fast-travel point. From there, you’ll want togo to the left, avoiding the swamp acid and the flying enemies until you reach a red wall that can be destroyed by using Tawa’s Heart with the Sun mask equipped.
From there, just do some simple platformingto the left and jump on a mushroomand you’ll reach the Reflection point, netting you even more health.

How To Find The Wildwood Reflection
Next up, we’re heading to another massive location in Tales of Kenzera: Zau -The Wildwood. This big forest area is where you’ll find the game’s second boss battle as well as another Reflection point. This is another one that’sright next to a fast-travel point that’s located in the middle of the biome.
From the fast-travel point just below where you run into Sabulana for the first time,go to the left and climb up the cliff. Once you’ve double-jumped up to the next area,go left to find a secret passage in the wall(which can be spotted on the map pretty easily). Then, use the elevator to go down and head to the left while avoiding a bunch of traps. You’ll find the fourth Reflection point here.
How To Find The Searing Sands Reflection
The next Reflection point in Zau isn’t found until you reachThe Searing Sands, another of the big biomes in the game. The Reflection can actually befound right next to one of the area’s fast-travel points.Right at the top of the biome, before you reach Mount Itshoka, you’ll find a fast-travel point rightnext to a Challenge Gauntlet.
From here, use your double jump and glide to reach the platform on the right side. Walk to theright from hereand you’ll find another Reflection point and the fifth health upgrade of the game.
Head to the right to find a Workbench and an Ulogi Crystal. A nice bonus for a little more walking!
How To Find The Mount Itshoka Reflection
The final Reflection point in Tales of Kenzera: Zau can be found inMount Itshoka, the next area you’ll visit after beating The Searing Sands. This one, surprisingly, isn’t found by a fast-travel point, although it’s easier if we start the directions from there.
While at this fast-travel point, use Tshukudu’s Might, which is the final ability you’ll unlock,to blast through the purple rockand start making your way upwards.
From there, keep using the glide and Tshukudu’s Might to clear a path forwarduntil you reach a signpost pointing you a few different ways.Head towards the right and then use the glide to avoid the spikes, before platforming over the lava.Keep going rightand you’ll find the final Reflection point and get another health upgrade.
You’ll also get the ‘Know Thyself’ trophy/achievement if you’ve gotten all of the other Reflection points.
