Summary
Honkai: Star Railfollows the story of the Trailblazer, a once-empty shell awakened by the Stellaron Hunters in order to hold a disastrous object known as a Stellaron within their body, before joining the rest of the protagonists on the Astral Express. In-game, the Trailblazer is able to channel different Types and Paths, giving them access to multiple abilities.
After completing the Version 2.2 Trailblaze Mission, the Trailblazer will be able to tap into the Path of The Harmony and gain new Imaginary-Type abilities. As a Harmony character, you can use the Trailblazer to increase your team’s DMG capabilities, but only if you know how to utilize them properly.
6They Can Increase Your Team’s Break Effect
After using the Trailblazer’s Ultimate, All-Out Footlight Parade, all allies are granted the Backup Dancer Effect for three turns, which reduces by one at the start of the Trailblazer’s every turn. Affected allies will have their Break Effect increased by 15 to 33 percent.

With this effect from the Trailblazer’s Ultimate, your characters are able to deal significant Break Effect-related DMG without having to build Break Effect stats, on top of their own personal DMG.
Using their Technique, Now! I’m the Band!, will also increase your team’s Break Effect by 30 percent for two turns at the start of the next battle.
5Deal More DMG To Weakness Broken Enemies
While your characters have the Backup Dancer Effect from the Trailblazer’s Ultimate, their attacks against targets that are Weakness Broken will be buffed. The Toughness Reduction of their respective attacks will be converted into one instance of Super Break DMG, adding itself to your characters’ original DMG.
With this effect, you’re able to deal significantly more DMG to enemies in the Weakness Broken state, even with support characters that don’t usually deal a lot of DMG. Break enemies’ Toughness Bar more frequently in order to take advantage of the bonus DMG.
4They Can Turn Into A Powerful DMG Dealer
Support characters, especially those from thePath of The Harmony, don’t usually focus on DMG, nor have damaging abilities at all, because their kits focus on buffing other characters DMG. However, the Trailblazers Ultimate allows them to be played as a support and DMG dealer hybrid.
Using their Skill, Halftime to Make it Rain, will deal Imaginary DMG to a single target enemy and additionally deals four additional instances of DMG to a random enemy. The DMG of this attack is typically weak, but with the Backup Dancer Effect, the Trailblazer can easily output huge DMG numbers to Weakness Broken enemies.
3They Can Get Their Ultimate Pretty Often
With The Trailblazer’s Talent, Full-on Aerial Dance, they immediately regenerate five to 11 Energy whenever an enemy target’s Weakness is Broken. Additionally, with their second Eidolon, Jailbreaking Rainbowwalk, which can be obtained for free, the Trailblazer’s Energy Regeneration Rate increases by 25 percent for three turns.
All of these allow the Trailblazer to get their Ultimate back faster in order to provide the Backup Dancer Effect to your team more often. You can useother sources of Energy Regenerationsuch as the Penacony, Land of Dreams and Sprightly Vonwacq Relic Sets, plus the Memories of the Past Light Cone to get their Ultimate back even faster.
2Use The Right Type To Fight Against Enemies
Due to the Trailblazer’s kit focusing on Break Effect and Weakness Break, you won’t feel much of their support when the enemies still have their Toughness Bar, as none of their abilities will take effect, and the Trailblazer will feel like dead weight.
However, once the enemies are Weakness Broken, the Trailblazer can transform into an overpowered support character that lets your entire team deal huge DMG. With this in mind, it’s important to bring characters that match the enemies’ Weakness to break them faster and more frequently.
1Take Note Of Their Traces
Every character gains Bonus Abilities from their Traces after reaching certain levels. After unlocking all of the Trailblazer’s Bonus Abilities, they will gain the following additional effects:
