To grow apple orchards, you will need to take the following steps:
The skill points are earned after you have completed a milestonerelated to the overall growth of the settlement. This isvisible right below your occupied region’s name. If you complete those requirements, youunlock one skill pointyou can use in the farming skill tree for apple orchards.
Thebackyard extension of a burgagehouse can be built if you have abigger plot size. While drawing the plot lines to build a burgage house,make sure you see the small house symbol with ahammerinside it. This indicates that the burgage house you will build can be upgraded to have a backyard extension.
Click on any burgage housewith a backyard extension andexplore options under the gear and hammer icon.
With the Orchardry skill unlocked and50 regional wealth, you canunlock the apple orchard backyard extension. Once this is done, thefamily will start planting apple trees.
The overall size of the backyard extension will impact the yield of apples. Make sure you have a bigger plot so the family occupying the house can plant more apple trees.
Apple orchards take three years to reachfull production. If your settlement struggles to manage food supplies, investing time and resources in apple orchards might not be the best choice, as it is a long-term commitment.
