One of the most important aspects ofStardew Valleyis repairing your Grandpa’s old farm back to its former glory. This includes repairing your farmhouse and constructing many several buildings, such as sheds, barns, and coops.
As your farm continues to progress, you may want to move buildings around from their original positions or recolor each building to look more appealing. If you are curious about how to paint or move the buildings on your farm, look no further.
How To Move Your Farm Buildings
To construct a building on your farm, head to Robin’s Carpentry shop andprovide her with the moneyand materials necessary to complete the build, which typically takes two or three days. AfterRobincompletes a building on your farm,you can head back to her shop and ask her to move these buildings wherever you want.
Robin’s Carpentry Shop isopen from 9am to 5pm, but the shop is closed all day on Tuesdays and closes early on Friday evenings.
Luckily, moving a building requiresno materials or time commitment,so you may instantly rearrange your farm for free. Before you head back to Robin’s shop and ask her to move a building, we recommendclearing the area of any trees, logs, fiber, or rocksbefore your visit, because buildings can only be placed in open areas.
How To Recolor Your Farm Buildings
Similar to moving your buildings around, you can also head to Robin’s shop andask her to repaintthe buildings on your farm.This service is completely free, so if you aren’t satisfied with the colors or want to change the visual appearance, you can always try again.
While most buildings can be completely repainted,Fish Pondsandthe Greenhousecan not be changed.
By clicking the paintbrush icon when talking to Robin, you will be guided to a visual layout of your farmwhere you choose which buildings you want to recolor.This will open a paint menu, where you can select theportion of the building you want to paintand customize the color with different sliders.
Clicking on the paper icon willcreate a copy of the current color you are using,which can be used on other buildings when you open their respective menus.This allows you to match the colors of all the buildings on your farmwithout having to painstakingly recreate the color with paint sliders.
