Leveling Types Explained

As mentioned above, Soulmask uses three separate but interconnected levels to represent your character’s progress. Here’s a quick explanation of each of them.

What It Does

Awareness Strength

Your Awareness Strength reflects your overall knowledge and understanding of the world. A higherAwareness Strength unlocks new technologiesand allows you to access more powerful Mask Nodes. You can view your Awareness Strength at the bottom of the HUD.

Character Level

Your Character Level strengthens the core attributes of your playing character, whether it’s your custom avatar or a tribesman you control. Leveling up your character grants youstat points that you can allocateto various stats likeStrength, Physique, Perception, Endurance, and Agility.

Mask Level

Your Mask Level represents your mastery over the mask you wear. A higher Mask Levelis required tounlock more advanced Mask Nodes, allowing you to tap into the mask’s full potential.

YourAwareness Strength and Mask Level are linked, meaning that upgrading one automatically levels up the other.

How To Level Up Fast

Interestingly, all everyday activities in Soulmask contribute to experience (XP) gain and help you level up your stats. The amount of XP gained differs depending on the complexity of the task.

To level up faster, you should strategicallyfocus on activities with higher experience yield. A few examples are:

Crafting

Crafting is one of the most consistent ways to farm XP in Soulmask. You can craft items using the Workstations or directly from the Crafting menu. By crafting higher-tier items and weapons, you can easily level up your Awareness Strength, and Character levels.

Mining

Mining is by far theeasiest and most effective way of leveling upyour character. Just like crafting, each successful hit you land on a resource vein grants XP.Ores like clay, copper, tin, and sulfur offer more XP per hitcompared to basic resources like stone or flint.

Once you’ve mined a decent amount of ores, you cansmelt them to farm more XP.

Harvesting

Similar to crafting and mining, gathering resourceslike wood, stone, fiber, thatch, herbs, etc, grants experience points.Chopping down treeswith an axe is aneasy way to farm XP and get tons of wood, which can then be used to craft items and passively level up.

Combat

Another effective way of leveling up your Awareness Strength and Character levels is combat. Whether it’shunting wild animals or fighting NPC enemies, you’ll gain XP each time you successfully defeat or deter them. you may find higher-level enemies, like Tribe Chiefs, atBarbarian Barracks or Dungeons.

you may alsorecruit NPCs to join your tribe andassign them specific tasks, like cutting down trees or crafting items. Automating tasks is an excellent way to passively level up without having to do anything.
