InNine Sols, survival hinges on mastering combat mechanics to minimize damage and effectively utilize the healing mechanic. Early in the game, options to replenish lost health are limited, but as you progress, you will acquire more items to boost your healing capabilities.
Healing in the game works similarly tosouls-like games. You have a limited number of healing pipes, and each time you use one, the only way to replenish them is by resting at a Root Node, akin to the “Bonfire” in the Dark Souls series. In this guide, we explain how to increase health and help you survive longer so you’re able to defeat those ugly, nasty bosses easily.

How To Increase Health
Toincrease the main health barof Yi, the protagonist, you need tofindShennong and give him a poisonous itemto eat.Shennong becomes accessibleafteryoudefeat Yingzhao, the first true boss who blocks your path to Kuafu, the first Sol carrier.
Once you have defeated Yingzhao, your next step is toexplore the Lake Yaochi Ruinsand find Shennong. At the far end of this area, you will encounter Goumang, the next Sol carrier. As you approach her, she will trap Yi, and her minions will attack the cage, sending it to the bottom of the Lake Yaochi Ruins.

Thisarea contains yellow waterfalls, which are hazardous to your character.Using the grappling hook, you need to traverse further andreach the bottom floor. There, you willfind Shennong, who is eager to get his hands on apoisonous item to consume.
You canbuy poisonous items from Chiyou, a merchant easily found in each region of the game. If youprefer not to buythem, explore the upper section of Lake Yaochi Ruinsafter finding Shennong. Here, you willdiscover the Green Yinglong Egg, another poisonous item that you can give to Shennong to improve his condition.

Shennong will thank youfor your help and thenmove to the Pavilion, the base of operations in the game. When you visit the Pavilion and find Shennong there, interact with him to receive Medicinal Brew, whichincreases Yi’s overall base health.
After that,Shennong will request more poisonous items. Each time yougive him two poisonous items, he willreward you with another Medicinal Brew, further boosting your overall base health.
