Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update added tons of content for farmers, including seasonal crops, like thePowdermelon. It is a unique melon that thrives in the cold winters and gets its name from a powdery coating on its surface.
This pretty blue melon has a crisp and sweet flavor and is an excellent source of energy andincome in the winter. Unfortunately, Powdermelon seeds aren’t readily available for purchase from any of the stores in Pelican Town. If you’re committed to keeping your fields active through the cold months, here’s how you can grow Powdermelon on your farm.

How To Get Powdermelon Seeds
The most reliable way to getPowdermelon Seedsis topurchase them from the Raccoon familyfound near the Giant Stump left of Marnie’s Ranch.After completing the raccoon’s first request, his wife opens up a shop where you can barter for items.
You can get a pack ofPowdermelon seeds in exchange for 2 Pine Cones.Pine Cones are harvested from shaking or chopping down Pine Trees.

You may occasionally get Powdermelon seeds as a reward for completing the Raccoon’s series of requests.

If you haven’t unlocked the Giant Stump area yet, you can try to find Powdermelon seeds in the following ways:
Apart from using the Seed Maker, these methods only yield Powdermelon seeds between Fall 21 and Winter 20.
How To Grow Powdermelons
Once you’ve collected your Powdermelon seeds, you canplant them on your farm during the winterandwait seven daysfor them tomature into a Powdermelon.
If collecting seeds and growing Powdermelons on the farm is too much of a hassle for you, you may purchase one Powdermelon for 2,500 gold at the Feast of the Winter Star every year. However, it only has a 25 percent chance of appearing.
