Fallout 76’sSkyline Valley update boasts one of the most requested features: an expanded area of Appalachia to explore. However, this update is more than just an empty plot of land, as there are several new quests to enjoy and unusual characters to meet.
Into Lands Unknown is your first official step into the Skyline Valley, following the beginning of your journey during An Unlikely Invitation. Everything you’ve learned about the dangers in Appalachia will change, and you’ll meet unexpected allies among a new faction: the Lost.
How To Start Into Lands Unknown
Into Lands Unknownbegins immediately after entering Vault 63,following theconclusion of An Unlikely Invitation.
Once you step foot into Vault 63, it won’t be long before you encounter ahostile horde of new enemies: the Lost.
The Lost are a variation on the Scorched enemies, but muchlike the unfolding tale of Vault 63,there’smore to Lostthan meets the eye.
For now, your primary concern is to protect yourself byclearing out all Lost enemies in Vault 63.
Once you’ve defeated the final enemy, you’ll hear avoicecalling out to you froman intercom (marked by a yellow diamond) next to a door.
Use the intercom tospeak to a woman named Hilda,and listen to her plan. It may sound suspicious but agree to follow through, and you’ll bedirected to the Skyline Valley region in the southeast.
Once you arrive in theSkyline Drivearea,search for a small huton the edge of a ruined parking lot,past the Shenandoah Visitor Center.
As you approach the hut, you’ll hear the panicked screams of a lonelyman named Craig.
Speak to Craig and learn aboutthe survivors in the areaCraig is concerned about.
Once you’re done speaking with him, Craig sends you off toput flares on the locations where you find the survivorsandcollect any personal effectsto bring back to Craig.
Where Are The Survivor Locations During Into Lands Unknown?
From Craig’s hut,follow the first marker along the cliffsidewith a gravel path leading towarda lookout point.
At the lookout point, you’ll findthe body of Miles, along with his hat on a nearby ledge,once you follow thetrail of bloodthat leads to it.
From the lookout point, head down the road along the side of the mountain that leads toa roadway with a tunnel.
At the mouth of the tunnel,you’ll find thesecond survivor, Rob,who also met an unfortunate end.
Grab Rob’s journala few steps into the tunnel, on the right (from Rob’s entrance)near a lantern.
Lastly, exit the tunnel on the other side andfollow the road toward a huge mansionin the distance.
As you approach themain gate, you’ll find the third survivor location,where Rebecca should be, but there’sno sign of her body.
However, you can findRebecca’s Holotags on a corpse near the gate; they’re a bit hard to see, but looknear the corpse’s handand you’ll find the glimmering tags.
Once you set the final flare, approach the manor, andInto Unknown Lands will be complete.
