Remnant 2is packed with secrets, and the developers sure know how to hide their goodies. With each new DLC, we’re treated to fresh content and, most importantly, new equipment. However, figuring out how to obtain certain items isn’t always straightforward.
One such item is the Thorn Long Gun, a recent addition with the Forgotten Kingdom DLC and if you want to lay your hands on it, you’ll need to visit a bird’s nest. But beware, one misstep could lock you out of getting it, and you’ll have to start over. Don’t worry, though, because we’re here to guide you through the process and ensure you get it right.
How To Unlock The Thorn Long Gun
Much like many weapons in this game, acquiring the Thorn gun requires obtaining its crafting material,the Regurgitated Spiny Sac.However, obtaining this material can be quite tricky.
When you first start the Forgotten Kingdom DLC,you’ll find yourself in the Ancient Canopy. Begin by progressing ahead, crossing the branch, andclimbing the stairs to your left.Continue ascending until youencounter a waterfall. Here, climb the rocks ahead,then turn right instead of following the stairs.
From this point,proceed straight aheaduntil you eventuallyreach a bird’s nest with a blue egg.DO NOT PICK IT UP, but remember its location because we’ll need it later.
Now, progress through the DLC storyline anddefeat the final boss. Afterward,you should hear bird noises. Return to the nest where you found the egg, and you’llnow encounter the Kuri Kuri bird. This birdwill vomit up the Regurgitated Spiny Sac, the crafting material you need.
With the crafting material in hand, all you need to do ishead back to Ward 13andvisit McCabewhere you’ll beable tocraft the Thorn Long Gun.
While our experience involved defeating the final boss and then returning to find the bird, some players reported hearing the bird noises before defeating the boss and subsequently encountering the bird at the nest.
Given Remnant 2’s dynamic nature,this event may occur randomly.Nonetheless, this method remains the way to obtain the crafting material for the Thorn Long Gun.
