Ever since the release of Sumeru inGenshin Impact, the development team has gotten quite comfortable with releasing various hidden underground areas. This is especially true ever since they updated the main map to show you a detailed outline of each underground floor.

This holds true even for the area released in the Version 4.6 update, the Sea of Bygone Eras. Not only is it entirely underground itself, but it also has various hidden areas that go even deeper. Caesareum Palace is one such hidden area, and you may snag yourself a Luxurious Chest here.

Genshin Impact Passage To Caesareum Palace

How To Break The Seal

If you’re not yet aware of the area being talked about in this article and just came herelooking for a Luxurious Chest, you can easily get to it by heading over to the map of the Sea of Bygone Eras andfollowing the path on the left side of it. This path leads you into an area where you won’t need to swim anymore.

After getting to this area, you’ll see a giant blue seal blocking the way forwardalongside a giant empty circle that clearly looks like a battleground. To break this shield, you’ll be taking part in quite a formidable battle in this circle, so the first thing you have to do is switch over to one of your reliable DPS teams.

Genshin Impact Soldier Statue In Caesareum Castle

Once you’re ready, interact with the statue of a soldier near the circle and he’ll ask you if you’re ready for the battle. As you click on “Take me there”, you’ll be teleported into the field and waves of Bathysmal Vishaps will start spawning. You’llfirst get a few waves of bigger monsters that will charge your buff progresswhen you defeat them.

Your buff gets fully charged after youdefeat two to three waves of these vishaps, with two of them in each wave.

Once your buff is active, the circle willstart spawning waves of smaller Vishaps instead, with up to six Vishaps in each wave. You have to battle these for the next 30 secondsbefore the final boss appears in theform of a Bathysmal Vishap Herd. These are the two biggest Vishaps with a bond shared between them.

This bond means that if you defeat one of them but can’t defeat the other in a certain amount of time, the defeated Vishap will regenerate half its HP. Ideally, you’d want to have an AoE DPS for this battle so that you can defeat them together. After defeating this boss, the seal will unlock and you can head inside to reap your rewards.

Make sure you interact with the soldier’s statue after winning this battle toget the “Go Tell the Citizens of the Capital…” achievement.
