So many players overlook the Quarry inStardew Valley, given how out of the way it is. By finishing the Craft Room bundle at the Community Center, you’ll repair the bridge over to the Quarry on the easternmost side of town up by the Pelican Town Mines.
The Quarry in Stardew Valley is a large, open area that allows plenty of room for natural resources like trees, ores, and gemstones to spawn on a regular basis, offering your farmer a combat-free place to gather these resources. There’s even an optional bonus dungeon in the Quarry, too, offering the Golden Scythe.

How To Unlock The Quarry
When you first started playing Stardew Valley and headed over tothe Pelican Town Minesfor the first time, you may have noticed thebroken bridge to the right ofthe Adventurer’s Guildjust outside. The bridge is there from the beginning of the game, andthe Quarry is just over this bridge.
However, unlike the bridge down at the Beach where you could just bringa few hundred pieces of woodand have the path fixed, the bridge to the Quarry takes a bit more work.To unlock the Quarry, you’ll need towork on the Community Centera bit.

Repairing the bridge to the Quarry is the reward forcompleting the entire Craft Roomat the Community Center. This is the room where you find your first Junimo upon entering the dilapidated Community Center for the first time. After learning to speak Junimo with the Wizard’s help, you’ll be able to get started on a few of the bundles.
The Craft Room is where you’ll be asked tocomplete foraging bundlesby gathering resources from around town throughout the year and offering them to the Junimos. If you’re notdoing the remixed bundles, this will include:

If you’re doingthe Joja Warehouse instead, you can instead unlock the bridge to the Quarryby paying Morrisan even25,000g.
Once you’ve got the minecarts unlocked, there will be a stop at the Quarry, making it easily accessible from the Bus Stop near your farm for easy and regular access.

What Spawns In The Quarry?
At first, the Quarry may not seem like anything too special. When you first arrive, the area will be randomly populated with different varieties oftrees, an abundance ofstone, plenty ofore nodes, maybea fewgemstone nodesif you’re lucky, and eventhe oddMystic Stone.
These items all respawn in the Quarry periodically as you clear the area out, making it a great place toconsistently farm helpful resources(most typically Mining resources) if you leave it to grow naturally. However, you can also choose touse the Quarry for a number of different purposes. We’ve seen players use the Quarry in Stardew Valley for:

The Quarry Mine
The final fixture in the Stardew Valley Quarry is themine entranceyou’ll notice justnorth of the bridgeyou restored to get into the Quarry. Inside is aladderthat leads you down into another mine, separate from the actual mines nearby.
Here, you’ll find avariety of enemieslurking aboutwaiting to fight you, but for the most part, it’s a lot ofstones and standard oreslike Coal, Copper, and Iron. It’s a pretty reliable place to go farm stone, provided you’ve got the ability to stand up to the impending combat.
At thevery back of the Quarry mine, you’ll find aGrim Reaper statueplaced unceremoniously along the back wall of a room. Interacting with it (while you have space in your inventory) rewards you with theGolden Scythe. Compared to your regular Scythe, the Golden Scythehas abigger radiusthatmore reliably collects Hay.
