Ever since Wrath of the Lich King, Noblegarden has been a yearly staple of Easter inWorld of Warcraft. Usually around the first week of April, participating in the festivities is the perfect way to kick off the new season. During the event, new spring-themed mounts, toys, pets, and appearances are available alongside daily quests and egg hunts.
Of these is the Duck Disguise toy, allowing you to turn into a cute, tiny fowl at your heart’s desire. Though this toy requires a small quest chain, completing it should take no time at all, espeically with this handy eggs-splanation at your fingertips.
Prerequisite Quest Locations And Tips
The quest chaincan be started in either Goldshire,Elwynn Forest, for Alliance, or in Razor Hill,Durotar, for Horde. Once there, speak toZinnia BrooksorSylnaria Fareflameto recieve the quest ‘What The Duck.’
This is a very simple quest, just requiring you to use the given Horn of Honking to scare away ten nearby ducks. The ducks will be scattered all around the area and finding enough should prove no trouble.
Turn in this quest back to your respective quest giver to get the next quest, ‘A Fowl Concoction.’ This will have you speaking to another NPC back in your capital city.
For Alliance, this will beEmmery Fiske,found in thesmall room just outside the Stormwind Portal Room; for Horde, it will beTethris Dewgazerfoundin front of the Crystalsong Forest Dalaran portal. Talking with them will send you right back to Goldshire or Razor Hill to turn in the quest.
Finally, thisnew NPC will appearnext to either Zinnia or Sylnaria andoffer ‘Duck Tales.‘For this quest, use the potion given to turn into a duck and talk with the same nearby ducks as before.
Once you have gotten information from five of them, turn in the quest to begin the last step in receiving the Duck Disguise toy.
Getting Your Toy: ‘Just A Waddle Away’
At long last, the quest ‘Just A Waddle Away’ should be available from your respective quest giver, asking you totrack down Daetan Swiftplumeand his stolenGolden Egg Heirloom.
You will receive the same duck potion as before;use it to reveal the next location on the mapwhere Daetan will be flying above in duck form.
InElywnn Forest, he will be locatedupstream of his nest,west of Goldshire.
InDurotar, he will be at a pond immediatelywest of Razor Hills.
Once there,use the duck potion againto make him land and talk to you before flying off to his nest.
You only have touse the duck potion two timesin this quest, otherwise you’re able to go back to normal form and mount up to make it quicker.
You don’t have to follow him back, justhead to the nest, which should be marked with a big star symbol on the map. There, you will see asmall golden egg lying just outside it.
Pick it up andtake it back to Zinnia or Sylnariato finish the quest. In addition toreceiving the Duck Disguise toy, you will be given the choice of what color duck you would like. Make sure you use this item to add it to your toy’s options!
As of right now, only one color is available per character. Even if you get another color on an alt, it will not apply to all characters.
