World of Warcraft: Classic’s Season of Discoveryhas introduced a myriad of new ways to play, including gameplay elements that are not tied to classes or raids. One of these is a secret item called theCozy Sleeping Bag. This reusable item increases the amount of experience points a character gains when used, making it highly valuable to any character adventuring across Azeroth.

The Cozy Sleeping Bag functions by being placed at your character’s feet — all you need to do is walk over it. This will make your character automatically lay down and sleep on it, granting them a one percent buff to their experience point gains.

How To Start The Quest “…And That Note You Found”

The questline that leads to the Cozy Sleeping Bag will take you across both Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. While every character can obtain and benefit from it, Horde and Alliance characters begin their search for the treasure in different zones.

Obtaining the Cozy Sleeping Bag is something you will need to do on each character you want to use it with, as it is a soulbound item that cannot be mailed between characters.

For The Horde

For Horde characters, you must journey to the Barrens to find the first cluethat begins the questline. Having unlocked the Camp Taurajo flight point will make this step easier, as what you are looking for lies amidst the litter of a burnt-out watchtower situated south of the Tauren town.

Along the Southern Gold Road, where part of it branches off to the east down into Dustwallow Marsh,is where this watchtower stands, and the Burned-Out Remainsof an unlucky humanoid are waiting for you to click on them and begin the quest “…And that note you found”.

For The Alliance

For Alliance characters,to find the clue that you need to start the questline, you need to head to Westfall. You need the flight point of the nearby human outpost of Sentinel Hill, asyour destination is due east; the abandoned Alexston Farmstead.

Near the northwest corner of the field of this farmstead, lies the smoldering rubble of some old farming structure.Within this rubble, another unlucky soul’s Burned-Out Remainscan be found, which will start the quest “…and that note you found” upon clicking on it.

How To Find The Twin Land

The second part of this questline is basically thesame as the first part, except now you will need to go to the location that you did not go to originally. As the “…And that note you found” quest states, you must “find the twin land”.

While the Barrens is a Horde territory, Westfall is decidedly not. On the other side of the world, it is best to be careful while you track down your second clue on a Horde character, especially if you play on a PVP server, as you will always be vulnerable to attack by Alliance NPCs and players alike.

The location of the Burned-Out Remains on the Westfall map

To get to the Alexston Farmstead and the Burned-Out Remains found there, you first need to travel to Orgrimmar or Undercity. Once you are at either of these Horde capitals, head to their respective zeppelin towers and catch a ride on the zeppelinto Grom’gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale, as that is the closest Horde settlement to Westfall.

Once you arrive at Grom’gol, head east into the jungle, but stick to the road that leads away from the Horde camp. This road will eventually connect to the main road that runs the length of Stranglethorn Vale, and when you reach that road, you want to head north. That will ultimately lead you into Duskwood, and from there, you can head west into Westfall.

When you reach theAlexston Farmstead, you want to find those Burned-Out Remainsand click on them, letting you complete the “…And that note you found” quest and accept the “Stepping Stones” quest.

For Alliance characters, the Barrens will be as dangerous as Westfall is for those of the Horde. Alas, in order to find your second clue, that is exactly where you need to journey to. If you play on a PVP server, expect even the neutral goblin town of Ratchet to not be completely safe if you travel through there.

Getting to the Barrens as an Alliance character is a bit tricky, but there are some surefire ways to do so. If you are in the Eastern Kingdoms, the first thing you need to do is get to either Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands, or Booty Bay on the southern tip of Stranglethorn Vale.If you are in the night elf lands of northwest Kalimdor, you will want to go to Ashenvale, specifically the town of Astranaar.

Once at Menethil Harbor, you will need to take the ship to Theramore in Dustwallow Marsh. When you get there, just take the road out of the city, as it will wind its way through the marsh, until it reaches the border of the Barrens.Take the road west once you reach that point, and it will take you directly tothe burnt-out watchtoweryou need to get to.

If you choose to go to Booty Bay, you will instead need to take the ship that sails to Ratchet. From Ratchet, take the road west out of town, and then cut southwest through the wilderness until you reach the Gold Road, so you can avoid the Horde town of The Crossroads. From there, follow the Gold Road to its southern reaches, past Camp Taurajo, andyou will find your destination where the road to Dustwallow Marsh meets the Barrens' thoroughfare.

Finally,if you are setting out from Astranaar, you will need to take the road east out of town, and then head south towards the Talondeep Pathto the Stonetalon Mountains. Once you reach that zone, trek south through Windshear Crag until you come upon Webwinder Path, which you must then follow east into the Barrens.

Upon entering those savannahs, cut southeast through the wilds in order to, once again, avoid The Crossroads, until youarrive at the Gold Road. From there, follow it south until you reach the ruined watchtower.

In whatever way you arrive at the said watchtower, the Burned-Out Remains you need to click on will be on the ground at its base. This will let you complete “…And that note you found” and begin the quest “Stepping Stones”.

How To Find The Pocket Litter

Only the first and second parts of this questline are different based on your character’s faction. From here on out, everyone’s journey is now the same.

The next location you must travel to isa small camp in a grove, high atop the Stonetalon Mountains. This third clue is thePocket Litter that lies on top of the first-aid crate next to the tent in this camp.

To find this camp, you need to locate a semi-hidden path north of Sun Rock Retreat that connects the Webwinder Path to the Charred Vale.

The eastern entrance to this mountain pass is just south of Mirkfallon Lake, just off the road of the Webwinder Path as it begins to bend into the valley surrounding the lake.

The western entrance to the pass is located in the unnamed valley directly north of the Charred Vale, where some basilisks roam.

The camp that you are searching for is located near the western end of this pass, in a small grove on the north side of the path. When you reach it and click on the Pocket Litter found there, you will be able to complete “Stepping Stones” and begin “Scramble”.

The “Scramble” quest takes place only several yards north, so you do not need to leave Stonetalon Mountains or this mountain pass just yet.

How To Complete The Quest “Scramble”

Your goal for “Scramble” is to reach a Mound of Dirt on the slope of the mountains nearby. When you descend the mountainside, be careful not to go too fast or too far, as the Mound is on the second ridge you cross on your descent.

There is a shovel on the ground next to it, and when you click on it, you will complete this quest and begin the next one, “Wet Job”.

How To Reach Loch Modan

To find your next clue, you will need to climb into the highlands of Loch Modan, back in the Eastern Kingdoms. For Alliance characters, this is easy as it is dwarven territory, but for Horde adventurers, it is a tad trickier.

If you are a proud member of the Horde, the best way to reach this alpine vale is to start your sojourn at Tarren Mill in the Hillsbrad Foothills, or Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands, depending on what flight points you have unlocked.

If setting out from Tarren Mill or elsewhere in the Hillsbrad Foothills, you should head east towards the Arathi Highlands, and follow its main road until it reaches a crossroads in the south-central of the zone. If setting out from Hammerfall, take the road out of town and follow it to the same crossroads.

Once there, take the road leading south across the Thandol Span and into the Wetlands. Keep heading south along the road until it meets the road running east to west in the southern Wetlands, where you will then turn east andfollow it into the mountain passes of Dun Algaz and into Loch Modan.

While traversing Dun Algaz as a Horde character, run fast and have healing and defensive abilities at the ready, as the dwarven mountaineers that guard the tunnels will attack you on sight.

Your goal in Loch Modan is the Stonewrought Dam, specifically the western dwarf head that is carved into its face. For Horde characters, this too is a gauntlet you want to be prepared for, as the dwarven mountaineers patrolling it will attack you if you get close enough to them.

At the western side of the dam, hop down onto the carved dwarf head, where you will find a collection of trinkets befitting a dwarven mountaineer. In front of a rifle leaning up against the stone wall, an Eagle Figurine stands. Click on it to complete the “Wet Job” quest and begin the quest “Eagle’s Fist”.

How To Get The Cozy Sleeping Bag

The final leg of your journey takes you north, tothe border of the Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands. Here, you will find the ruins of Thoradin’s Wall, the ancient border gate of the first human kingdom, Arathor.

Your ultimate goal is to get on top of the wall, which you can do by finding a broken down cart leaning against it near its northern end. As seen in the image above, there is a breach in the wall at this end, and the cart is right next to it on the Hillsbrad side of the ancient barricade.

Once you are on top of the wall, turn to your right and enter the tunnel-like room filled with crates, furniture, and other knicknacks. Go through this room to reach the terrace on the other side, where you will find aMessenger Bag hanging on a corner wall over a Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel.

Click on the Messenger Bag to complete the “Eagle’s Fist” quest and begin the last quest in the line; “This Must Be The Place”. All you need to do for this quest is toclick on the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel, which will complete it and reward you with your treasure, the Cozy Sleeping Bag.

If you are in a party with other players, they can use your Cozy Sleeping Bag as well, which will always score you some popularity points with your fellow adventurers.
