It’s no secret thatStardew Valleyoffers quite a few options when it comes to marriage candidates. Players can argue on and on over which candidate is the best or the most deserving of thatMermaid Pendant. But what a lot of people can agree on is wanting to look the part of the blushing bride.

However, this isn’t as easy as popping into your local dress shop and browsing until you find the outfit of your dreams. There are only two bridal options: The Bridal Shirt andthe Bridal Veil. That sounds like it should be easier than, right? Well, you actually have to make them. This guide will teach you how.

What You Need

There are going to be a few things you need to bring your Bridal look to life. The easiest part isfamiliarizing yourself with the componentsyou will need to find and bring together.

To craft theBridal Shirt, you need:

In order to craft theBridal Veil, you instead need:

But knowing is only half the battle. Well, maybe more like a third of the battle when it comes to these items. Because it’s not just that you have to find or produce them. You then have tohave access to a way to tailor these itemstogether.

The fastest way to unlock tailoring depends on your playstyle. But regardless of how you unlock it,tailoring revolves around Emily. After all, she is the Queen of fashion in Stardew Valley. So it makes sense thatshe is the key to tailoring.

Unless you already have all the items above, you most likelywill not be able to craft both items in the three-day periodfrom when youpropose to when you get married. If you want the Shirt and Veil, get all the itemsbefore you give the Mermaid Pendentto your NPC of choice.

How To Unlock Tailoring

First up, let’s talk about how to unlock tailoring so you may determine how you want to go about it while searching for the components you need for both parts of the Bridal look. In order to gain access to tailoring as a feature, you need to first gather your first piece of cloth.

There are a few different ways to get it. The most natural way most players will come across their first piece of cloth isby purchasing either asheeporrabbit. Sheep and rabbitsdropwoolwhich can be put into aloom, crafting it into one piece of cloth.

It takesfour hoursto turn a piece of wool into cloth thanks to the loom.

Another way, if you’re more interested in mining and combat in Stardew Valley, is to come across Mummies.Mummies are only found in Skull Cavern, so that means you’ll have to unlock that area first, which requires you toreach the bottom of The Minesfirst. Then, of course, wait untilyou spot a Mummy that does drop a cloth.

There is an additional way, which could be faster than either one depending on how much you like fishing. That is tofish up asoggy newspaperand throw it into aRecycling Machine. Finding the newspaper isn’t the problem. It’s a common trash item that is fished up. To unlock a Recycling Machine, you have toreach fishing level four to unlock the recipe.

One last way to get cloth is whentheDesert Traderhas it as part of their rotating stock on Wednesday. you may tradethreeAquamarinefor one cloth.

After you find your first piece of cloth,Emily will show up at your door the next dayand invite you to use hersewing machineat her home anytime you’d like.

There is, technically, a way you can gain access to a sewing machine before this.If you complete Emily’s “Rock Rejuvenation” special order, she will gift you with a sewing machine of your very own. But, that would mean not getting clothes before, at the earliest,Fall 1 of Year 1.

How To Find An Ornamental Fan

Now finding the Ornamental Fan can be thefrustrating and most random partof the journey. TheOrnamental Fanis an artifact. There are a few different ways to find it, which is the randomness portion of finding one because you may be searching for a little while or for a long timedepending on luck.

One way to find this fan isthrough artifact spots. The best place for it to show up through an artifact spot isat The Beach. After that is Cindersap Forest, and then around Pelican Town. But hoeing up these artifact spotsisn’t the only way to find an Ornamental Fan.

Another way to unearth this artifact is actually through the water via fishing. That is all thanks tofishing treasure chests. Which, as many a pro fisher will know,is also a random chancethat a chest will even appearduring your fishing mini-game.

The last way is through the sparkly goldArtifact Troves. These are similar to geodes, but instead of gemstones and minerals, you will only find artifacts tucked away inside. One of those artifacts is an Ornamental Fan. Butkeep Artifact Troves in mindas they can have Pearls hidden inside too.

How To Find Pearls

Finding a Pearlis less randomthan finding an Ornamental Fan thankfully. There are some waysto guarantee that a Pearl ends up in your possessionbefore the big day.

One takes placeduring the Night Market in the Winterof every year. When youvisitthe Mermaid Boat, there is a sequence you will hit the clams in, which is listedin Secret Note #15. you may also get one another way during the Night Market, thoughonly at a .4 percent chanceand that’s while fishing in theSubmarine Ride.

you may only getone Pearl per save file from the Mermaid Boat.

Another way to guarantee a Pearl is byputtingtenCrabinto a Fishing Pond. The Crab themselves don’t ensure this, butWilly will gift you one. And there is one more way to ensure you get a Pearl and that is asa gold-tier reward during the Squidfestthat happens during Winter. The Pearl is offeredonly on Winter 12through this method.

There are a number of other ways to get a Pearl, but these are all a chance, not a guarantee:

Last Step: Tailoring

Now that you have all of your components and access to one of two sewing machines, it’s time to bring everything together. Be sure tohave everything you want in your pockets when you open up the tailoring menu.

Once you have the menu open, you’ll see exactlywhere the cloth goes because the graphic on the left will match how the cloth looksin your inventory. That meansthe spool graphic, which is at the top of the machine, will be where you put eitheryour Ornamental Fan or your Pearl.

Then you’llhit the power button. The machine will make noises and show that it’s working. When it’s done, you’ll see either your shirt or your veilpop up. You click on it and put it back into your inventory.

After you’re done tailoring both items, all that’s left to do is toopen up your inventory, away from the sewing machine, and put each clothing item on. Then you canwear both of these items to your wedding, or just around the Valley if you so choose.

There is no wedding gown, per se, so you’ll instead need tocraft your choice of bottoms and then dye them whiteto match the Bridal Shirt and Veil.
