To get S Rank, you need to have played a perfect game of That’s Not My Neighbor. That means, you not only thwarted every Doppelganger’s attempted entry, but you’ve welcomed each and every Neighbor home successfully. Without further ado here’s how to earn S Rank in That’s Not My Neighbor.

How To Get The ‘Better Than Henry’ Achievement

That’s Not My Neighbor starts with a training video for prospective Security Guards in the D.D.D. At the end of the video, you’ll learn that theSecurity Guard of the month was Henry— the only Security Guard tosurvive the job. Your job is tobe better than Henry.

In order to be better than Henry, you’ll need toplay a perfect gameand work a perfect day in the life of a D.D.D. Security Guard. To do this, you need toachieve S Rankat the end of your playthrough. S Rank is thehighest possible rankyou can achieve in the game.

Theseven rankspossible areS Rank, A Rank, B Rank, C Rank, D Rank, E Rank, and F Rank, with thebest being S Rankand all following ranks decreasing in value from there. There is also an achievement for reachingF Rank, ‘Worse Than Henry.’

How To Get S Rank

Getting S Rank isone of the hardest achievementsin the game, and odds are, it will take you a couple of playthroughs before you crack the code enough to earn this prestigious ranking.

To achieve S Rank you have tocomplete a day perfectlywithout making a single mistake. That means you need to letevery single Neighbor inside, and’cleanse' every Doppelganger.

If you let even one Doppelganger in or accidentally kill a neighbor, you’lllose your shot at S Rank, and the best you can hope to achieve is A Rank.

Uponcompleting the workday, you will not only determine whether you made a mistake and are eaten, but also what rank you achieved at the end of the game.

There isno wayto achieve S Rank on a playthrough where youdie at the end. If you see a Doppelganger murder you at the end of the day, you don’t even need to check the rank to know that you werenot better than Henry.

Tips For Getting S Rank

Since achieving S Rank is contingent upon playing a perfect game, the key is tobe thorough in your investigationsof each and every visitor that comes to the security desk.

Look For Physical Clues

If you encounter a Doppelganger who isobviouslynot who they say they are, you are safe to call the D.D.D. on them, butnot allDoppelgangers will haveobvious physical cuesto tell you that they’re impersonating a Neighbor.

Sometimes, the only visual clue you’ll get that a visitor is a Doppelganger, is anincorrect nose, hair direction, mole, or freckle pattern. These are harder details to spot, and if you’re notinspecting the Neighbor files closelyenough, you’re able to miss them.

To avoid misreporting Neighbors and Doppelgangers alike, ensure youdouble and triple checka visitor’s image to the image you have on file. Your files willalwaysbe correct!

Always Call The Apartments

Even if a visitor’s documents, their appearance, and their access request is correct, theymay not be a Neighbor. Some Doppelgangers are more convincing than others, and will quite literallyhide in plain sight.

The best way to check out a convincing Doppelganger is tocall the apartmentof who they are impersonating, even if you can check off every item on your checklist as present or correct.

That’s Not My Neighbor: Mclooy Rudboys claims that he was out for an emergency.

If you call the apartment andno one picks upthe phone or the Neighbor’s roommate corroborates their story, then you’retalking to the real deal. If the Neighborpicks upthe phone, or their roommate claims they are home, then the visitor at the windowis a Doppelganger.

There is aglitchwhere a Neighbor is on the daily visitor list, butstill picks up the phonewhen you call the apartment. If the visitor hasall correct informationandis on the list, but they pick up the phone, you shouldstill let them in. They are the real Neighbor.

Accidentally killinga Neighbor because of this glitch willlose you the achievement.

Never Trust Their Story

Some Doppelgangers willinsist that their documents are corrector that they left in an emergency.

In some cases, visitors who claim they left for an emergency willactually be Neighborstelling the truth. The only way to confirm their story is tocall their apartments.

Don’t automatically discount the ‘emergency’ storyas fake. If you accidentally kill a Neighbor who really left for an emergency, you’ll forfeit your chances of getting S Rank.

However, Doppelgangers may give youunconvincing reasonsfor why they left in an emergency or why their appearance looks odd. If theirstory is suspicious, you should trust your gut andcall the D.D.D.after you’ve exhausted all other methods of identification.

Documents can also beconvincingly forged. Some Doppelgangers with subtle appearance differences will insist their documentation is correct when questioned. Don’t trust them!

The only way to accurately diagnose a Visitor’s appearance as correct or incorrect is tocompare their appearance with the imagethey haveon file, or by looking at theirphoto on the daily visitor sheet.

Other Achievements Possible While Earning S Rank

Since getting S Rank means winning the game without any errors, there are a few other achievements you canearn on the same playthrough.

It is possible to earn both theSteel Memory achievement and S Rankat the same time. Steel Memory requires surviving a day of workwithout ever opening the file folderson the right side of the screen.

You can earn Steel Memory atany ranklevel so long as youdon’t die at the end of the run.

You can also get the ‘Best In Class’ achievement during your S Rank playthrough, provided thatChester appears at some pointduring the day. You earn ‘Best In Class’ by correctly answering all of Chester’s quiz questions — the answers to which you can findhere.

The achievements’Catch You', ‘Open Mind’, ‘Unlikely’, ‘I’m Alive’, and ‘Peaches Peaches’can all be earned during your S Rank playthrough.

Most of the achievements you can earn simultaneously with the ‘Better Than Henry’ achievement aredependent upon random encounterinformation and whether you are lucky enough tomeet certain charactersduring your playthrough.

However,catching a Doppelganger Red-Handed (the ‘Catch You’ achievement)means you not only need to be lucky enough to encounter that Doppelganger, but must also be thorough enough in your investigation to catch them. These Doppelgangers are usually very convincing.

Youcannot earnthe achievements’Work Accident’, ‘Doppelganger Food’, or ‘Worse Than Henry’while completing the ‘Better Than Henry’ achievement or earning S Rank in general.
