Hades 2has several resources that help you increase your power. Most of these resources are quite easy to get, but some are tied to tougher areas or guardians.
Things like Ash, Psyche, or Bones are all easy to get, because you earn them as a reward frequently, but other resources like, Tears, are acquired much later in the game at a much slower rate.

Where To Find Tears
Tears are dropped as a reward forbeating the Guardian of the Mourning Fields, Cerberus. To reach the Mourning Fields area, you need to defeat Scylla and the Sirens in Oceanus.
Upon reaching the last stages of the Mourning Fields, you’ll encounter a path that rewards a Tear. When this option shows up, this is the only path available, andit will lead to theCerberusboss fight.

Defeat Cerberus, andyou’ll get a single Tear as a reward. If you need more than a single Tear, you’ll have to complete multiple runs up to, and including, Cerberus. Luckily, you don’t need that many Tears in your playthrough.
What To Unlock With Tears
The most notable unlock you can get from the Tear is theAttending a Faithful Beast incantation. The incantation requires one Tear, one Wool, and four Wheat. After finishing the incantation, you can let your Animal Familiars work for youwhen you leave them at the Crossroads.
Apart from the incantation, you’ll also use two Tears tounlock the Moros aspect of the Umbral Flames weapon.
By the time you unlock aspects, you’d likely have defeated Cerberus multiple times anyway.
