Dragon’s Dogma 2features armor and weapons upgrade mechanics fit to overwhelm the Arisen at any time. The earlier upgrades require investing Gold and a few easy-to-acquire items, such as a rabbit pelts. However, as you get mid- to late gear, you need higher-quality materials to upgrade some of the best weapons and armor.
TheSilver Crownis a rare resource that lets you enhance most of the higher-end gear items. These gear items already have better defense and attack stats, but you may always enhance them if you have upgrade materials like thesilver crown.
How To Find Silver Crowns
The phantasm and stout undeadare the two enemy types with adrop chance of givingsilver crowns. Thephantasm can be encounteredas you explore the woods on thewest side of Vernworthduring the night.
However, thestout undead are mostly foundinside caves, such as theHidden Cavernin Vermund and theMountain Base cavein theAgamen Volcanic Islandregion. They are slightly bulkier than most zombies, withbigger bellies and a larger health pool. The stout undead are weak against fire damage, so use this to your advantage.
Slaying the stout undead is more likely to result in thesilver crownitem loot drop than slaying the phantasm.
If you areusingthe Thief vocation, thePilfer skill will allow you to steal from stout undeadand phantasms, increasing your chances of receiving thesilver crownfaster.
Buy From Folkes
Folkes is one of the wandering merchantsin the game, and he can initially befound in the Checkpoint Rest Town. Hesells thesilver crownfor 3,000 goldper item. However, Folkes will not show his wares until you have completed theTolled To Rest quest, which can be triggered by visiting an Oskar NPC in the North of the Ancient Battleground.
Once you have completed that, you canfind Folkes wandering in Checkpoint Rest Town,Ancient Battleground, and the areas between the two. He would bewilling to sellwhatever stock is available,including thesilver crown.
Can You Duplicate TheSilver Crown?
Onceyou have acquired at least onesilver crown, you canduplicate it by visiting Ibrahim’s Scrap Storein the Checkpoint Rest Town.He will charge you 3,600 Goldand make you one moresilver crown, which you can use to enhance your weapon or armor.
This shortcutsaves you time visiting caves to farm thesilver crownfrom the stout undead. You only need to pay a small fee, wait for at least one day outside the bench near the store, and get the duplicate item.
