Pokemon Gois hosting a new in-game event this month, featuring some of the franchise’s largest and smallest Pokemon that are currently available in the game. This event, theSizeable Surprises Event, will also make several limited-time bonuses available to all players who log in and play during its specific event window.

The Sizeable Surprises Event will be active for almost a week long, taking placefrom Thursday, April 4, at 10am local time to Tuesday, April 9, at 8pm local time.Read on to learn about the unique bonuses and exciting features that will come with this Pokemon Go in-game event.

Event Bonuses

There will bethree main bonusesthat will be active throughout the Sizeable Surprises Event, available to all players during this event. This includes:

TheApril Community Day Classic Eventwill be taking place during the Sizeable Surprises Event window.

Several Snorlax around the Pokemon Go map next to different PokeStops

During this Community Day Event, the XP bonuses mentioned abovewill not stack on top of the Catch XP bonuses from the April Community Day Classic.

Event Wild Encounter Pokemon

There will be severalevent-themed Pokemon appearing in the wildthroughout the Sizeable Surprises Event. This includes different Pokemon that are either especially small or large, fitting the theme of this event.

Each of these event wild encounter Pokemon are provided for you below.

This will be the first time that you will have thechance of encountering Shiny Wimpod.

In addition to this Pokemon being an event Wild Encounter Pokemon,Wimpod will also be Field Research Task encounter and a Collection Challenge reward for this event.

Event Raids

There will also beevent-themed Pokemon appearing in Raidsduring the Sizeable Surprises Event. This includes Pokemon found inOne-Star, Three-Star, Five-Star, and Mega Raids, so make sure you’re preparing accordingly depending on the difficulty of the Raid you’re attempting.

Below you can find each of these event-themed Raid Pokemon, many of which are very large or very small to fit this event’s theme.

Players in theNorthern Hemisphere will have the opportunity to Raid against Kartanaand players in theSouthern Hemisphere will be able to Raid against Celesteela.

Additionally, this will be the first time that you will have thechance of encountering Shiny Kartana or Shiny Celesteela.

Event Research

Event Field Research Task Encounters

Make sure to visit and spin different PokeStop Photo Discs throughout this event to acquire differentlimited-time event Field Research Tasks.Completing those that reward you with a Pokemon encounter will give you the opportunity to catchone of six different event-themed Pokemon.

Event Collection Challenges

There will also bemultiple Collection Challengesavailable to complete during the Sizeable Surprises Event. To complete these different Collection Challenges, you will need tocatch and evolve specific Pokemon that are featured throughout this event.

Completing each event Collection Challenge will reward you with different in-game items and Pokemon encounters. Make sure to finish these Collection Challenges before the conclusion of this event to earn:

Event Pokemon Showcases

There will also beevent Pokemon Showcasesto complete in during the days of this event. These Pokemon Showcases will only allow specific, event-themed Pokemon to be entered, providing those with the largest Pokemon with the most points.

With one of the bonuses for this event being an increased chance of encountering XXL Pokemon in the wild, ensure tocatch several Pokemon that are featured during this event, especially those that are XXL sized.This will give you plenty of great options when it comes to Pokemon that can be entered into these limited-time Pokemon Showcases.
