Pokemon Gois debuting a new limited-time event this month, theScorching Steps Event, presenting players with a unique combination of bonuses and featured Pokemon. This brand-new event will be featuring several Fire-type Pokemon, as well as different bonuses and features having to do with hatching Eggs, making for an exciting pairing.

The Scorching Steps Event will be a five-day event, active fromFriday, June 21, at 10am local time to Tuesday, June 25, at 8pm local time.Below you can find everything you will need to know about this event, including bonuses, rewards, research, and even a brand-new Pokemon Go debut.

Pokemon Go Debut: Shiny Larvesta

With the start of the Scorching Steps Event, you will have the chance of encounteringShiny Larvestafor the first time in Pokemon Go. Throughout this event,you will be able to hatch Larvesta in 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs, providing you with several chances to obtain this new Pokemon Go Shiny.

Event Bonuses

During the Scorching Steps Event, there will beseveral bonusesavailable to all players, remaining active throughout the entirety of its duration.

The majority of these bonuses have to do withhatching Eggs, allowing you to hatch more Eggs and obtain more rewards for doing so. Each of these three Egg-focused bonuses are provided for you below.

For the final bonus for this event, you will haveincreased chances of encountering both Shiny Slugma and Shiny Litleo.During this event, you will have the chance of encountering these two Pokemon through Egg hatching and Event Field Research Tasks.

Event Pokemon Eggs

There will be achange in the Pokemon that are typically hatched from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs for this event, replacing them with different event-themed, Fire-type Pokemon. Each of these three Egg types and the Pokemon that can be hatched from them during this event can be found below.

Only 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs that areacquired after the start of this eventwill hatch the event-themed Pokemon below.

Timed Research

All players who log into Pokemon Go during the Scorching Steps Event will be granted access toevent-themed Timed Research. Completing the different tasks that make up this Timed Research willrequire you to hatch different Eggs, rewarding you with:

Field Research Task Encounters

Like with most Pokemon Go events, during the Scorching Steps Event, you will have the opportunity to obtain and completeEvent Field Research Tasks,acquired fromdifferent PokeStops. Completing some of these limited-time Field Research Tasks will reward you with event-themed Pokemon encounters, including:

With Slugma and Litleo both having increased chances of being Shiny during this event, make sure tocomplete as many of these Field Research Tasks as possible.

This will give you a great chance of obtaining these two Shiny Pokemon, both extremely difficult to obtain outside this event.

There will beevent-themed Pokemon Showcasesappearing at different PokeStops throughout the Scorching Steps Event. verify tohold onto different event-themed Pokemon you catch, especially those that are larger, ensuring that you have different options when it comes to eligible Pokemon.
