If you’ve encountered Glyndwr during your time in Vernworth, you’ve likely unlocked a series of quests involving the Elves. These quests play a significant role in determining which endings you achieve and will eventually lead you to the Ailing Arborheart quest from Doireann. Your task will be to aid her in restoring the Arborheart.

How To Start The Ailing Arborheart Quest

Once you’ve completed both quests,make your way to the Sacred Arborandhave a chat with Doireann at the Arborheartto kick off your journey.
Doireann will task you with locating a material known as gwyfencha in her language, akin to aScalecinder. For further details,you’ll need to journey to Battahlandconsult with Brokkr’s Smithy to move forward.
How To GetRotten AppleAnd Rotten Fish
The Smithy might turn you down at first, but he can be swayed if you bring him a dish only the Elves can master. When you return to Doireann, she’ll ask forarotten Appleand arotten Shorefish.
Chances are you might already have these ingredients. If you’ve got some of them stashed away, justmove them to your inventory and sit tight on a nearby bench to let time do its work and make them all rotten.
You’ll find theShorefishin the water area within the Sacred Arbor, whileapples are available at the merchant in the Borderwatch Outpostor scattered around the open world.

Complete The Ailing Arborheart Quest
Now, head to the Smithy location and speak to Sara, who will guide you to the Brokkr smithy to access a cave. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to provide him with the dish he desires, allowing youtime to venture inside the cave and gather the materials you need.
The material you’re searching for inside the cave is theScalecinder,resembling green dustand typically found beneath barrels or boxes. While inside the cave,collect as much as you’re able to.Once you’ve gathered all availablescalecinder, exit the cave and deliver it to Doireann to complete the quest.
